We are currently seeking a motivated and eager Trainee Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in supporting credit control activities, including assisting with premium collections, payment allocations, and basic account reconciliations, helping to ensure smooth financial operations and effective cash flow management.<br \/>\nPosition Overview<br \/>\nThe Trainee Credit Controller provides support to the credit control team by helping with premium collections, basic payment allocations, and account reconciliations. Under supervision, the role assists in preparing reports, following up on outstanding payments, and maintaining records. The position offers hands-on training in credit control processes while developing skills in communication, reporting, debt management, and relationship management.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0 Premium Management<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proactively collect and follow up on premiums falling due from assigned Business Partners.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Allocate all received premiums accurately to the correct accounts and policies.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Obtain premium remittance schedules from Business Partners within agreed timelines.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Issue monthly customer statements to Business Partners.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reconcile customer statements on a monthly basis, resolving disputed items promptly and effectively.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0 Reporting &amp; Analysis<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Compile and maintain a monthly suspense account report, ensuring timely clearance of unallocated items for assigned brokers.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0 Collaboration &amp; Relationship Management<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work closely with the underwriting team to resolve credit control queries and align on premium-related matters.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with Business Partners to enhance collection efficiency and goodwill.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0 Debt Management<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Identify Business Partners with recurring late payment issues and take appropriate action.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Flag overaged debt in a timely manner for escalation.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Initiate and effect policy cancellations in line with company credit control policy for overdue debts.<br \/>\nQualifications<br \/>\nEducation: Bachelor\u2019s degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or a related field<br \/>\nSkills<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Excellent negotiation and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Microsoft Office Skills.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Reporting skills<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Managing processes<br \/>\nWhy Join Us?<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Impact: Play a crucial role in shaping our facultative reinsurance strategy and portfolio.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a dynamic and growing company.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Innovation: Be part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation and excellence.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
