Reports to Radiology Coordinator\/Medical Officer. The incumbent will conduct assigned study procedures and adhere to procedural and international guidelines for research conduct.
\nMain Duties:<\/p>\n
Explains to the participants the chest X-ray procedure and re-assure them of their safety.
\nPerforms the chest X-ray procedure using a mobile X-ray machine and\/or a stationary machine.
\nBe able to use a digital x-ray machine with CAD4TB and qXr CAD system scoring.
\nEnsures Radiation Protection and safety measures are adhered to.
\nBasic reading and interpretation of the CAD4TB X-ray
\nRefers the participants to the next station after Chest X-ray, depending on the results.
\nReports timely, any malfunction of equipment to the Team Leader.
\nEnsures the safety of all radiological equipment in your custody.
\nEnsures and verify that all x-ray forms are completed accurately and documented by the study staff
\nPrepares timely and quality x-ray reports.
\nFollow and adheres to the guidelines of Good Clinical Practices.
\nCollaborates with Data Coordinator\/Technician and other staff to ensure timely completion and transmission of x-ray images onto the online storage portal (cloud).
\nUphold confidentiality
\nProvides timely feedback (positive and negative) to study staff regarding x-ray forms completion and accuracy.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate
\nDiploma in Radiography.
\nGCP and NHRA certificate are an added advantage.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\nExcellent written and spoken English skills
\nAbility to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time
\nAdvanced knowledge of electronic equipment (i.e., computer, e-mail, copier, phones, etc.
\nAbility to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
\nPresent a positive and professional approach
\nAble to use portable digital X ray unit.<\/p>\n
