Considering the factors of growth and changing stakeholder environment being experienced across the country, a number of opportunities and challenges have emerged with this phenomenon. Hence the College has embarked on a new strategy to maintain its progress. In view of this, the College is therefore seeking the services of a selfless goal-oriented, qualified and skilled individual to take up the following positions;<\/p>\n<p>Senior Accountant<\/p>\n<p>Dean of Students<\/p>\n<p>Head of Department \u2013 Nursing<\/p>\n<p>Head of Department \u2013 Clinical Medicine<\/p>\n<p>Marketing Officer<\/p>\n<p>Driver \/ Mechanic<\/p>\n<p>1. Senior Accountant (1)<br \/>\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team and take full responsibility for the financial management and compliance<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\n1. Financial Management &amp; Reporting<\/p>\n<p>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.<\/p>\n<p>Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.<\/p>\n<p>Reconcile general ledger accounts and oversee month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with internal policies and tax regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Provide financial analysis and insight to management to support strategic decisions.<\/p>\n<p>2. Cost &amp; Revenue Accounting<\/p>\n<p>Track and analyze operational costs (fuel, maintenance, transport, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>3. Accounts Payable &amp; Receivable Oversight<\/p>\n<p>Supervise AP and AR functions, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure vendor and customer account reconciliations are up to date.<\/p>\n<p>4. Budgeting &amp; Forecasting<\/p>\n<p>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.<\/p>\n<p>Monitor budget performance and explain variances.<\/p>\n<p>5. Tax &amp; Regulatory Compliance<\/p>\n<p>Ensure compliance with ZRA and other statutory bodies (e.g., NAPSA, NHIMA).<\/p>\n<p>Prepare and file VAT, Withholding Tax, PAYE, and Income Tax returns.<\/p>\n<p>Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.<\/p>\n<p>6. Asset &amp; Fleet Accounting<\/p>\n<p>Maintain fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation<\/p>\n<p>Work with operations team to reconcile performance with financial records.<\/p>\n<p>7. Internal Controls &amp; Risk Management<\/p>\n<p>Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize financial integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Identify areas for process improvement and risk mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>8. Team Supervision<\/p>\n<p>Oversee junior accountants and clerks.<\/p>\n<p>Provide training and support to the finance team.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Zambia, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage)<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the academic circles.<\/p>\n<p>Strong knowledge of Zambian tax laws and statutory filing procedures (ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA)<\/p>\n<p>Proven ability to manage multi-entity accounting in a growing institution.<\/p>\n<p>Proficient in any accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Any account package)<\/p>\n<p>Excellent attention to detail, integrity, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills<\/p>\n<p>High level of integrity and attention to detail<\/p>\n<p>Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment<\/p>\n<p>2. Dean Of Students (1)<br \/>\nReporting to the Principal, the Dean of Students is responsible for the formulation and control of all programs and services in the University which are aimed at promoting the welfare of students, their relationships and other matters which affect students\u2019 quality of life outside of academia.<br \/>\nDUTIES<\/p>\n<p>Enforcing the University\u2019s Student Code of Conduct<\/p>\n<p>Planning and implementing orientation for new students at the University<\/p>\n<p>Overseeing student organizations, representation and rights to ensure order in student conduct<\/p>\n<p>Direct the operation of the University dispensary for timely management of minor ailments of students and ensure timely referral to government facilities<\/p>\n<p>Formulating and controlling budgets for student activities and general welfare<\/p>\n<p>Planning and organize suitable extra-curricular activities for students<\/p>\n<p>Counselling students who may be distressed to restore comfort and confidence<\/p>\n<p>Directing remedial action in emergencies and crisis situations involving students<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the Management Team, participate in policy and decision making of the University generally and in particular on matters concerning students.<\/p>\n<p>Inspect boarding houses and ensure landlords adhere to the required health standards.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>Bachelors in Degree in Social Work or any Social Science and a Master\u2019s Degree in the same qualification is an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Good communication skills in both oral and written English language<\/p>\n<p>At least five (5) years\u2019 experience in student\/community related work<\/p>\n<p>Good computer skills<\/p>\n<p>ATTRIBUTES<\/p>\n<p>Temperament to be able to handle students<\/p>\n<p>Tact and persuasiveness to intervene, diffuse and settle potential conflict situations<\/p>\n<p>Human relations skills in dealing with parents\/guardians, other academic institutions, government offices and the general public<\/p>\n<p>Passion and commitment to provide service students even at odd hours<\/p>\n<p>Ability to articulate matters of student welfare at all levels of management<\/p>\n<p>Empathy and ability in student counselling<\/p>\n<p>3. Head Of Department \u2013 Nursing (1)<br \/>\nKEY PURPOSETo supervise operations of the Nursing Department in order to provide quality training and produce qualified Nurses.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>Supervises effectively the provision of nursing training in order to produce qualified nurses<\/p>\n<p>Ensures periodically the development and\/or review of the nursing curriculum in order to enhance skills development relevant to the industry<\/p>\n<p>Supervises efficiently, research and consultancy in collaboration with industry in order to facilitate the development of innovations for industry and academia<\/p>\n<p>Undertakes effectively the development, implementation, and review of a student tracer system in order to ascertain the relevance of training and quality of graduates<\/p>\n<p>Undertakes effectively the development of work schedules, course allocation, and industrial attachment schedules to lecturers in order to efficiently deliver training<\/p>\n<p>Supervises efficiently students\u2019 Continuous Assessments (CAs) and Examination schedules in the department in order to ensure that lecturers adhere to the deadlines set<\/p>\n<p>Supervises timely the development of individual work plans and implementation of APAS in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance<\/p>\n<p>Supervise effectively financial, material, and human resources in order to facilitate the achievement of the school\u2019s objectives<\/p>\n<p>Undertake effectively the preparation and control of the Department budget in order to facilitate resource mobilization and accountability<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>Degree in Nursing and\/or equivalent<\/p>\n<p>Masters of Science Degree in Nursing and\/or equivalent added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Suitable applicants should possess a minimum of eight (8) years working experience with at least five years in Senior Management and leadership positions, preferably in a learning institution.<\/p>\n<p>NECESSARY SKILLS AND PROVEN EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>A team worker with strong leadership abilities;<\/p>\n<p>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n<p>Excellent communication and organizing skills<\/p>\n<p>Exceptional planning, monitoring, and controlling skills;<\/p>\n<p>Flexible budgeting skills and should be able to manage the department within an approved budget<\/p>\n<p>4. Head Of Department \u2013 Clinical Medicine (1)<br \/>\nTo supervise operations of the Department in order to provide quality training and produce qualified Clinical Officers.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>Degree in Clnical Medicine<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in academic programmes<\/p>\n<p>Able to teach and follow up for practicums<\/p>\n<p>Hold a minimum of certificate in teaching methodology<\/p>\n<p>Minimum age 35<\/p>\n<p>Must be registered with Health Professionals Council of Zambia with the latest practicing license<\/p>\n<p>Possess excellent leadership, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>Exceptional planning, monitoring, and controlling skills;<\/p>\n<p>Flexible budgeting skills and should be able to manage the department within an approved budget<\/p>\n<p>Undertakes effectively the development of work schedules, course allocation, and industrial attachment schedules to lecturers in order to efficiently deliver training<\/p>\n<p>Supervises efficiently students\u2019 Continuous Assessments (CAs) and Examination schedules in the department in order to ensure that lecturers adhere to the deadlines set<\/p>\n<p>5. Marketing Officer (1)<br \/>\nWe are looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and proactive marketing officer to join our growing dynamic team in the marketing department.<br \/>\nThe marketing officer will play a key role in the recruitment of students and meeting enrolment targets and marketing the institution.<br \/>\nThe primary responsibilities and duties will include:<\/p>\n<p>Market the university college and courses using various marketing strategies and platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Use market intelligence to re-strategize and future decision decision-making for management.<\/p>\n<p>Ensuring timely follow-up of prospecting students and key stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment reports.<\/p>\n<p>Working with the marketing team to prepare and execute proactive marketing strategy to market the college programs and enroll students using various platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Collaborating with our university college team in developing and implementing efficient student recruitment procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Any other marketing related duties<\/p>\n<p>Required skills and attributes<\/p>\n<p>A creative and Self-starter<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrates a good understanding of student enrollment<\/p>\n<p>Highly driven individual and result oriented<\/p>\n<p>Fantastic time management and organizational skills<\/p>\n<p>Highly inquisitive and keen on learning<\/p>\n<p>Possess excellent computer working skills (Proficient in Microsoft word and excel etc) as well as analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills<\/p>\n<p>Honest, energic, committed and team player<\/p>\n<p>Job Qualification:<\/p>\n<p>Diploma or bachelor\u2019s degree in marketing and related studies.<\/p>\n<p>Has prior experience of marketing in a school setup is an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>A proven experience working in marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.<\/p>\n<p>6. Driver\/ Mechanic (01)<br \/>\nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n<p>To repair University College Vehicles \/ buses<\/p>\n<p>Transport University College staff to assignments as directed<\/p>\n<p>Pick up and dropping off post, other packages, purchases or parcels if need arises.<\/p>\n<p>Maintain the vehicle to the satisfactory standard acceptable to the University College<\/p>\n<p>Check and carry out routine maintenance to ensure that the vehicles are in good working order for use by the University College staff.<\/p>\n<p>Work hand in hand with the Registrar ensuring that Company Motor Vehicles are always in good and safe working conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Carry out motor vehicle repairs as requested.<\/p>\n<p>Help in recommending good quality spare parts\/kits needed for motor vehicle repairs.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.<\/p>\n<p>Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;<\/p>\n<p>At least five (5) years relevant work experience of driving heavy duty vehicles\/buses<\/p>\n<p>Must have a valid Class CE\/PSV SADC driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p>Must be in possession of Heavy Duty Motor Vehicle mechanical Certificate<\/p>\n<p>Good Communication and report writing skills<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
