BUILDING &amp; LOGISTICS OFFICER<br \/>\nLocation: Solwezi, Zambia<br \/>\nReports to: Manager<br \/>\nJob summary;<br \/>\nresponsible for identifying, sourcing, and managing building materials required<br \/>\nfor construction projects. Oversees transportation and delivery arrangements,<br \/>\nensures timely supply to project sites, and coordinates with suppliers, truck<br \/>\ndrivers, and site supervisors to maintain smooth operations.<br \/>\nKey responsibilities:<br \/>\nIdentify and verify all building materials according to project<br \/>\nspecifications.<br \/>\nSource and purchase materials from approved suppliers.<br \/>\nArrange transportation or delivery of materials to sites<br \/>\nLocate and hire trucks for material delivery when required<br \/>\nTrack delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records of materials received, issued and delivered.<br \/>\nPerform errands related to material sourcing and delivery coordination.<br \/>\nSkills &amp; Requirements:<br \/>\nCraft certificate in building technology<br \/>\nCraft certificate in plumbing and any other related field<br \/>\nCertificate in sales and marketing is an added advantage<br \/>\nKnowledge of building materials and their specifications.<br \/>\nGood organizational and record keeping skills<br \/>\nNegotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and transporters.<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines<br \/>\nBasic computer skills for record keeping and communication<br \/>\nMust reside in solwezi.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
