\nJob Overview
\nWe are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to strengthen our financial operations and support strategic decision-making in our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of monthly financial reporting Packs.
\nTake ownership of requests for management accounts special reports to support decision making.
\nCoordinate the monthly closure of the General Ledger and production of Trial Balance by tracking all activities by other team members to ensure position in the General Ledger is representative of a fair status, red flag inconsistencies and escalate accordingly.
\nRaise necessary entry JVs and test accuracy of monthly accruals, provisions including payroll liabilities.
\nUpdate the Fixed Asset Register and General Ledger and accurately report monthly depreciation, acquisitions and disposals.
\nSupport the daily review of cashflow positions, support coordination of settlement of vendor, petty cash and utility accounts.
\nTake a significant role on management of annual external audits and production of financial statements.
\nCarry out other duties as assigned by Superiors from time to time<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Skills<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate with 5 \u2018O\u2019 level credits including Math and English
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA\/ACCA\/CIMA.
\nMinimum 5 years of experience in management accounting
\nProficient in Sage 200 and advanced MS Excel skills.
\nStrong understanding of Zambian tax laws and accounting standards.
\nExcellent communication and leadership abilities<\/p>\n
