Zambia Sugar Plc. is an ABF Group sugar company and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia.\u00a0 Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.
\nThe company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions of Tally Clerk in the Supply Chain Department.
\nTALLY CLERK x 3 \u2013 FIXED TERM CONTRACT (NAKAMBALA)
\nThe position reports to the Warehouse Foreman.
\nKey Performance Areas<\/p>\n
Apply and adhere to warehouse operating instructions and standards for inbound receipt handling, storage, stacking and dispatch products.
\nParticipate in the pre shift handover meeting with the supervisor to understand duties assigned for the shift and to plan and determine work required.
\nPhysically supervise the offloading\/loading of road trucks and rail wagons.
\nVerify all documentation for goods received and loading (loading authority).
\nInspect trucks and wagons before loading to ensure that they meet the required standards.
\nSpeedily and accurately count and capture all inventory movement of vehicles or trains entering or exiting the site, within the prescribed turnaround times.
\nSupervise the stacking and de-stacking of sugar according to the correct methods, standards and procedures.
\nAccurately check and capture all inventory movements when stacking and unstacking of bins.
\nAccurately check and capture all customer returns.
\nAccurately check and capture all picking, internal transfers, on-site inventory redistribution.
\nRecord all batch numbers for traceability and erect bin cards are required.
\nSpeedily, and with due care, check the product quality of all incoming and exiting inventory.
\nFile and maintain all relevant stock movement notes.
\nParticipate in conducting daily cycle counts and stock takes.
\nLead teams and monitor performance to ensure work requirements are met according to targets and standard.
\nIdentify opportunities and make suggestions for warehouse improvements.
\nAdhere to and ensure compliance in the team with the SHERQ and housekeeping standards and requirements.
\nPromote and adhere to ABF Sugar\u2019s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
\nExecute any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.<\/p>\n
Minimum specifications \/ Requirements areas<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate.
\nAdvanced Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Equivalent.
\nPreferably 2 year work experience.
\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office packages, working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
\nPerformance and Customer focused with the ability to work well in a team as a member and a leader.
\nGood communication skills.
\nAttention to detail and accuracy, with good numerical skills.
\nAll academic qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<\/p>\n
