\n1. Social and Environmental Officer (1 Position)
\nJob Description:
\nThe Social and Environmental Officer will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards throughout the project. Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Conducting environmental and social impact assessments prior to project activities.
\nMonitoring and mitigating potential environmental and social risks during construction.
\nEnsuring compliance with local regulations and international standards related to social and environmental management.
\nDeveloping and implementing community engagement programs to foster positive relationships with local stakeholders.
\nPreparing reports on environmental and social performance for management and regulatory authorities.
\nAdvising the project team on best practices in environmental protection and social responsibility.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Social Studies, Environmental Studies, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Minimum 5 years total work experience in Social\/Environmental studies or related fields.
\nAt least 3 years of specific experience on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects.<\/p>\n
2. Traffic Management Officer (1 Position)
\nJob Description:
\nThe Traffic Management Officer will plan, coordinate, and manage all traffic-related aspects of the Mpika road project. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Developing traffic management plans to ensure safety and smooth flow during construction.
\nConducting traffic surveys and analysing traffic patterns to identify potential hazards
\nCoordinating with local authorities and stakeholders to minimise disruption to commuters.
\nImplementing temporary traffic control measures, detours, and signage as needed.
\nMonitoring compliance with traffic safety regulations and advising the project team on improvements.<\/p>\n
Preparing detailed reports on traffic management activities and outcomes.
\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Minimum 5 years total work experience in Civil Engineering and road-related contracts.
\nAt least 3 years of specific experience in Traffic Engineering\/Management on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects.<\/p>\n
3. Occupational Health and Safety Officer (1 Position)

\nThe Occupational Health and Safety Officer will ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel involved in the Mpika project. Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures.
\nConducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
\nProviding safety training and awareness programs for project staff and contractors.
\nInvestigating incidents and accidents, preparing reports, and recommending corrective actions.
\nEnsuring compliance with national safety regulations and international occupational health standards.

5. Human Resources Manager (1 Position)

\nThe Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions for the Mpika project, ensuring effective workforce management and compliance. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Managing recruitment, onboarding, and staff allocation for all project roles.
\nDeveloping and implementing HR policies, procedures, and performance management systems.
\nOverseeing staff welfare, training, and professional development programs.
\nEnsuring compliance with labour laws, safety standards, and company policies.
\nAddressing employee relations issues and resolving conflicts effectively.
\nPreparing HR reports and providing strategic advice to project leadership on workforce planning.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
