Social and Environmental Officer (1 Position)<br \/>\nJob Description:<br \/>\nThe Social and Environmental Officer will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards throughout the project. Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Conducting environmental and social impact assessments prior to project activities.<br \/>\nMonitoring and mitigating potential environmental and social risks during construction.<br \/>\nEnsuring compliance with local regulations and international standards related to social and environmental management.<br \/>\nDeveloping and implementing community engagement programs to foster positive relationships with local stakeholders.<br \/>\nPreparing reports on environmental and social performance for management and regulatory authorities.<br \/>\nAdvising the project team on best practices in environmental protection and social responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Social Studies, Environmental Studies, or a related field.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 5 years total work experience in Social\/Environmental studies or related fields.<br \/>\nAt least 3 years of specific experience on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects.<\/p>\n<p>2. Traffic Management Officer (1 Position)<br \/>\nJob Description:<br \/>\nThe Traffic Management Officer will plan, coordinate, and manage all traffic-related aspects of the Mpika road project. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Developing traffic management plans to ensure safety and smooth flow during construction.<br \/>\nConducting traffic surveys and analysing traffic patterns to identify potential hazards<br \/>\nCoordinating with local authorities and stakeholders to minimise disruption to commuters.<br \/>\nImplementing temporary traffic control measures, detours, and signage as needed.<br \/>\nMonitoring compliance with traffic safety regulations and advising the project team on improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Preparing detailed reports on traffic management activities and outcomes.<br \/>\nQualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 5 years total work experience in Civil Engineering and road-related contracts.<br \/>\nAt least 3 years of specific experience in Traffic Engineering\/Management on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects.<\/p>\n<p>3. Occupational Health and Safety Officer (1 Position)<br \/>\nJob Description:<br \/>\nThe Occupational Health and Safety Officer will ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel involved in the Mpika project. Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures.<br \/>\nConducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.<br \/>\nProviding safety training and awareness programs for project staff and contractors.<br \/>\nInvestigating incidents and accidents, preparing reports, and recommending corrective actions.<br \/>\nEnsuring compliance with national safety regulations and international occupational health standards.<br \/>\nCoordinating emergency preparedness plans and response measures on-site.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 5 years total work experience in Civil Engineering and road-related contracts.<br \/>\nAt least 3 years of specific experience as a Health &amp; Safety Expert on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects.<\/p>\n<p>4. Community Liaison Officer (1 Position)<br \/>\nJob Description:<br \/>\nThe Community Liaison Officer will serve as the primary interface between the project team and local communities in Mpika. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Engaging with community leaders, residents, and stakeholders to address concerns and feedback.<br \/>\nFacilitating community participation in project activities and awareness programs.<br \/>\nMonitoring social impacts and ensuring that mitigation measures are implemented effectively.<br \/>\nOrganising and conducting community meetings, workshops, and consultations.<br \/>\nMaintaining clear documentation of community interactions and reporting to management.<br \/>\nSupporting the Social and Environmental Officer in implementing community-related initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 4 years total work experience in Civil Engineering and road-related contracts.<br \/>\nAt least 2 years of specific experience as a Community Liaison Officer on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects (or other road-related projects).<\/p>\n<p>5. Human Resources Manager (1 Position)<br \/>\nJob Description:<br \/>\nThe Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions for the Mpika project, ensuring effective workforce management and compliance. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Managing recruitment, onboarding, and staff allocation for all project roles.<br \/>\nDeveloping and implementing HR policies, procedures, and performance management systems.<br \/>\nOverseeing staff welfare, training, and professional development programs.<br \/>\nEnsuring compliance with labour laws, safety standards, and company policies.<br \/>\nAddressing employee relations issues and resolving conflicts effectively.<br \/>\nPreparing HR reports and providing strategic advice to project leadership on workforce planning.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Resource Management or any Social Science\u2013related field.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 8 years total work experience in Human Resource\u2013related works.<br \/>\nAt least 4 years of specific experience on construction and\/or road rehabilitation projects (or other related road projects).<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
