\nPROCUREMENT OFFICER-SPECIALIST
\nReporting to:\u00a0\u00a0Head People and Culture
\nLocation: Head Office Lusaka
\nPosition Overview:
\nThe Procurement Officer \u2013 Specialist will play a key role in overseeing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies, negotiating contracts, and maximizing cost-efficiency. Reporting directly to the Head People and Culture, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to understand procurement needs, maintain supplier relationships, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Develop and implement procurement strategies to support organizational objectives.
\nConduct supplier research, selection, and evaluation to secure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.
\nNegotiate and manage contracts to ensure favourable terms and compliance with company policies.
\nTrack and manage budgets and expenditure related to procurement.
\nAnalyse purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
\nEnsure compliance with relevant procurement policies, laws, and regulations.
\nPrepare regular reports on procurement activity for the CFO and senior management.
\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to foster positive business partnerships.
\nEnsure vendors list is in place and updated at all times.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
\nProven experience (3+ years) as a Procurement Officer, Procurement Specialist, or similar role.
\nStrong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
\nSolid understanding of procurement and supply chain management principles.
\nFamiliarity with ERP systems and procurement software is an advantage.
\nHigh level of integrity and professionalism, with attention to detail and analytical skills.<\/p>\n
