The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\nTo Install, assemble and commission split units, ducted systems, chillers and water-cooled units.<br \/>\nConnect refrigerant lines and controls according to manufacturer\u2019s specifications and safety codes.<br \/>\nTest systems after installation verifying correct performance.<br \/>\nPerform preventive maintenance, cleaning filters, coils, condensers, fans and ducts following standard schedules.<br \/>\nExecute works orders received from the planning section.<br \/>\nWork in conformity with the acceptable refrigeration standards.<br \/>\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic control faults in AC systems.<br \/>\nRespond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.<br \/>\nTo ensure all work complies with ZEMA refrigerant handling regulations and relevant local codes.<br \/>\nInteract professionally with clients to explain faults, repairs and preventive maintenance plans.<br \/>\nTo train clients\/end users on correct operation of installed systems.<br \/>\nEnsure all works done are recorded in CMMS.<br \/>\nTo Ensure installations in homes, factory, offices and commercial buildings are consistently maintained to highest standards.<br \/>\nPromote and adhere to ABF\u2019s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC).<br \/>\nMinimum Requirements<br \/>\nFull Grade 12 School Certificate<br \/>\nDiploma or Advanced Technician Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning<br \/>\nPreferably 5+ years\u2019 experience in industrial air-conditioning and refrigeration works<br \/>\nZEMA refrigerant handling certificate<br \/>\nMembership with Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)<br \/>\nSuitably qualified applicants must provide certificates verified by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<br \/>\nCompetencies and Personal Attributes<br \/>\nAdept at air-conditioning advanced electronic control and monitoring systems<br \/>\nMust be a self-starter able to execute and deliver with minimum supervision<br \/>\nGood communication skills<br \/>\nGood Leadership skills<br \/>\nShould you be interested in applying for this role, please submit your detailed CV, copies of relevant qualifications, registrations and ID\/Passport for the attention of HR Business Partner<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
