INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER x 1 \u2013 LUSAKA
\nJob Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Coordinate with the Head of Internal Audit to develop and implement annual audit plans based on risk assessments.
\nIdentification and assessment of risks, evaluation of the effectiveness of internal controls, and recommending improvements to policies and procedures.
\nPreparation of detailed audit reports for review by Head Internal Audit, present findings to Senior Management in the absence of the Head Internal Audit, and communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders.
\nEnsure internal audit and control activities are conducted in adherence to professional standards and observation of relevant legal requirements.
\nProvides advisory services concerning business process, operations, regulations, policies and procedures and suggests recommendations for improvement.
\nConduct forensic audits and investigations in cases of frauds, losses and malpractices as may be required.
\nPrepare audit working papers for areas audited in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards.
\nIdentify, develop and document audit issues and recommendations using independent professional judgement regarding the areas being reviewed.
\nParticipate in the formulation and documentation of internal control and reconciliation framework for the business.
\nLead and supervise subordinate staff in the Internal Audit department by providing guidance and mentorship.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Degree in accountancy with full qualifications in either ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA or CISA
\nA minimum of 5 years\u2019 progressive work experience in audit environment and should be able to demonstrate clear management responsibility.
\nMember of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
\nMembership of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is a requirement
\nPersonal attributes should include integrity and reliability; must be astute, versatile, self-driven and well-motivated.
\nGood understanding of regulations and legislations relating to the financial services sector.<\/p>\n

\nJob Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Engagement in the formulation and documentation of internal control and reconciliation framework for the business
\nAssist evaluating control mechanisms and governance processes for internal control processes.
\nAssist in development of audit programs for the organization and each department and maintenance of audit calendar
\nCarry out assigned departmental audits to ensure the governance, adherence to policies and procedures, effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, rectification of previously reported lapses
\nVerification of the financial transactions and reporting to ensure the compliance and accuracy
\nPreparation of audit reports reflecting an overview of the function reviewed, conclusions regarding the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and operational efficiencies
\nAssist conduct of forensic audits and investigations in cases of frauds, losses and malpractices as may be required
\nGather data and information, analyze same to gauge meaningful insights and present same to the Senior Auditor\/management<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Undergraduate qualification in Accountancy, Finance, ZICA, ACCA or CIMA, or related discipline
\nA minimum of 3 years\u2019 progressive work experience in similar job function
\nMember of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
\nGood understanding of regulations and legislations relating to the financial industry and implications of same
\nIn-depth understanding of internal auditing standards, responsibilities, code of ethics, and certification
\nGood knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS and other applicable accounting standards \u2013 Preferable
