Lubambe\u00a0Copper\u00a0Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe\u00a0District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
\nLubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.

\nLCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position:
\nEDUCATION AND HEALTH LIAISON OFFICER (X1)
\nThis position reports to the CSR Manager.
\nCore Purpose of the Position:
\nCoordinate activities and programs in the Health and Education Sectors.
\nKey Performance Areas\/Indicators (KPA\/Is):<\/p>\n
Manage the scholarship program by leading the selection process and the welfare of the students sponsored by LCML.
\nLead the recruitment process of the unskilled labour and ensure that the monthly payment for the community employees is made on time.
\nSensitise the communities on various health and education issues using communication leaflets (IEC Materials), workshops and meetings.
\nMonitor progress on infrastructure projects under education and health.
\nPrepare weekly activity and monthly reports.
\nMaintain and update the database for the community workers and scholars under the LCML scholarship program.
\nCollaborate with relevant organisations and government departments for effective program implementation and to strengthen the capacity of the existing Health and Education systems.
\nMaintain good rapport with the community through regular contacts and communication.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
\nDegree in Social Work\/Development Studies from a reputable institution.
\nSelf-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively with co-workers.
\nPassion for the health and education sectors.
\nMinimum of five (5) years working experience.
\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate in Bemba.
\nMental ability to operate in a sometimes hostile and challenging environment.
\nGood organisation and time management skills.
\nAbility to work with own initiative.<\/p>\n
