\nREPORTS TO: HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION

\nJOB PURPOSE
\nHuman Resources Officers are to oversee all aspects of human resources functions including but not limited to recruitment, trainings, inductions, performance management, industrial relations management, employee welfare, payroll \/ salary administration and disciplinary management.
\nRESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
\nBridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
\nManage the recruitment and selection process in accordance with Company policy
\nSupport current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
\nDevelop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
\nPrepare monthly payroll for the assigned Company employees
\nSkillfully nurture a positive working environment at individual, team and organizational level
\nOversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
\nMaintain pay plan and benefits program
\nAssess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
\nReport to management periodically and provide decision support through HR metrics
\nEnsure legal compliance throughout human resource management (Napsa, Nhima, Workers Compensation, ZRA etc.)
\nMay undertake any other administrative roles as prescribed by Management<\/p>\n
Requirements and skills<\/p>\n
Fully paid up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZHRM)
\nProven working experience as HR Officer or other HR Executive
\nPeople oriented and results driven
\nDemonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
\nKnowledge of HR systems and databases
\nAbility to architect strategy along with leadership skills
\nExcellent active listening,\u00a0 egotiation and presentation skills
\nCompetence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
\nIn-depth knowledge of Zambian labor laws
\nMinimum of a Degree in Human Resources Management, or related field<\/p>\n
