Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
\nLubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.

\nLCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position:
\nSENIOR HR OFFICER \u2013 EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & ADVISORY SERVICES (X1)
\nThis position reports to the Human Resources Superintendent.
\nCore Purpose of the Position:
\nTo ensure a conducive industrial relations environment that makes it easy for employees to discharge their duties without difficulties and addressing issues that are likely to lead to industrial unrest without compromising the company\u2019s set standards.
\nKey Performance Areas\/Indicators (KPA\/Is):<\/p>\n
Ensuring timely disposal of disciplinary cases and grievances equitably and justly without biasness.
\n\u00a0Recruitment of labour in line with approved departmental budgets.
\n\u00a0Coordination of recruitment and termination processes in line with user departments.
\n\u00a0Coordination with departmental section heads or supervisors on AWOP reports for affected employees (i.e. absences, short net, etc) and advisory on disciplinary charges in cases of poor accountability of attendance.
\n\u00a0Attendance of hospital liaison committee meetings when required and to review employees on prolonged sick leave.
\n\u00a0Advisory services to new and existing employees (locals and expatriates) of applicable HR policies and procedures.
\n\u00a0Attending to employee queries and requests and general administrative tasks.
\n\u00a0Preparation of HR Weekly, Monthly and IR Reports.
\nAny other tasks as assigned by the HR Superintendent.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
\nMinimum of a Degree in Human Resources Management or any social science.
\n\u00a0Registration with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is mandatory.
\nMinimum of five years\u2019 practical experience in Human Resources (Preferably in the mining industry).<\/p>\n
