Higher Education Authority (HEA); Zambia Qualification Authority (ZAQA); and other relevant regional accrediting bodies.<br \/>\nc)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oversees and coordinates all teaching and learning activities and operations of the faculty.<br \/>\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop, manage and implement the faculty strategic plan aligned to the University Strategic Plan and ensures implementation of policies and guidelines governing the operations of the School.<br \/>\ne)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensures the development and review of curricula in the Faculty to meet the demands of the learners and society\u00a0 at large.<br \/>\nf)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spearheads the review and improvement of all Programmes in the Faculty.<br \/>\ng)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oversees research and consultancy activities in the faculty.<br \/>\nh)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensures that infrastructure and all other facilities in the Faculty are adequate and in proper working order.<br \/>\ni)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinates planning and implementation of the Faculty budget, and ensures prudent utilisation of financial and physical resources.<br \/>\nj)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensures that the operations of the Faculty are financially sustainable.<br \/>\nk)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Create collaborations with local and international Institutions<br \/>\nl)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Represent the University appropriately by Chairing or serving on internal and external committees and working on advisory groups as required.<br \/>\nm)\u00a0\u00a0 Attends to matters relating to the academic affairs of students within the Faculty including ODL students.<br \/>\nn)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participate in the development of the University\u2019s academic calendar<br \/>\no)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Directs the preparation of quarterly and annual operational performance reports<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS\/ EXPERIENCE\/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES<br \/>\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Be able to demonstrate Academic and Professional Leadership<br \/>\nb)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent financial and human resources management<br \/>\nc)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proactive decision maker<br \/>\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<br \/>\ne)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent written and oral presentation skills<br \/>\nf)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Takes responsibility for actions, projects and work in his\/her jurisdiction.<br \/>\ng)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability and willingness to work as part of a team and contribute fully to the work of the Faculty.<br \/>\nh)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Unquestionable professional integrity, stature and abilities.<br \/>\ni)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Able to resolve conflicts.<br \/>\nj)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Innovative and analytical thinker.<br \/>\nk)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Time management, prioritisation of responsibility and willing to work long hours.<br \/>\nl)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to function under pressure.<br \/>\nm)\u00a0\u00a0 Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent<br \/>\nn)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor of degree in a relevant or any related field<br \/>\no)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Master\u2019s degree in a relevant and related field<br \/>\np)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PhD in a relevant field of specialisation,<br \/>\nq)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience as an academic practitioner and must be at the level of Senior Lecturer or above.<br \/>\nr)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must have proof of valid membership to a professional organisation or association.<br \/>\ns)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proficiency in computer application systems and databases.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
