{"id":5115,"date":"2025-09-01T10:00:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T10:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/emulsion-and-detonator-plant-manager-at-nash-explosives-limited\/"},"modified":"2025-12-11T00:14:59","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T00:14:59","slug":"emulsion-and-detonator-plant-manager-at-nash-explosives-limited","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=5115","title":{"rendered":"Emulsion and Detonator Plant Manager at Nash Explosives Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking to hire a Plant Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a manufacturing facility that will be producing emulsion explosives and detonators.<br \/>\nDuties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:<br \/>\n-Manage the daily operations of the emulsion and detonator production units.<br \/>\n-Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.<br \/>\n-Ensure production efficiency and quality in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.<br \/>\n-Oversee the blending, packaging, storage, and dispatch of explosives.<br \/>\n-Enforce strict adherence to explosives safety protocols, local regulations, and international standards<br \/>\n-Lead safety training, drills, and audits.<br \/>\n-Implement and manage environmental management systems to minimize environmental impact<br \/>\n-Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure raw materials and finished products meet quality and performance specifications.<br \/>\n-Supervise, train, and evaluate plant personnel, including shift supervisors, operators, and maintenance staff.<br \/>\n-Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.<br \/>\n-Oversee the maintenance of mixing units, pumping systems, storage tanks, electrical systems, and detonator assembly lines.<br \/>\n-Manage inventory of raw materials, components, and finished products.<br \/>\n-Liaise with procurement and logistics to ensure timely supply and dispatch.<br \/>\n-Prepare regular reports on production, efficiency, safety, and incidents.<br \/>\n-Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance<br \/>\nSkills &amp; Qualifications<br \/>\n-Bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.<br \/>\n-Minimum 7\u201310 years of experience in explosives manufacturing or a high-risk chemical processing environment.<br \/>\n-Proven experience in managing plant operations and leading teams.<br \/>\n-Sound knowledge of explosives manufacturing processes, especially emulsions and detonator systems.<br \/>\n-Blasting License<br \/>\n-Strong understanding of local and international safety and environmental regulations.<br \/>\n-Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.<br \/>\nInterested candidates who qualify for this position can send through their application letters, resume and certificates via email.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
