The Eastern Provincial Health Office under the US President\u2019s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions listed below to be employed on a one (1) year contract subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
\nJOB TITLE: TB PROGRAM OFFICER x1
\nSTATION: Provincial Health Office
\nJOB PURPOSE: To coordinate the implementation of TB\/HIV programs in order to improve patient clinical outcomes.
\nRESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively the implementation of TB Prevention programs in order to reduce TB Incidence.
\nCoordinates effectively the implementation of Case Identification in order to facilitate improved clinical outcomes.
\nCoordinates effectively the implementation of TB\/HIV Treatment programs in order to improve treatment outcomes.
\nUndertakes effectively monitoring and evaluation of TB\/HIV programs in order to facilitate appropriate interventions.
\nCoordinates and undertakes effectively capacity building programs in order to impart knowledge and skills
\nCommunity activities for TB contact tracing, defaulter tracing and active case finding to halt and eliminate TB in the community.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 Certificate with Five O\u2019levels.
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Clinical Medicine, Public Health or equivalent
\nFive (5) years demonstrated work experience with TB\/HIV programs at management level.
\nValid practicing license and full registration with HPCZ
\nExperience in coordinating and managing district, facility and community health workers
\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
\nKnowledge of the local community and cultural sensitivities.
\nExperience in community engagement or outreach activities.
\nMust have a high level of confidentiality and integrity
\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
\nAbility to communicate effectively in English.
\nBe computer literate
\nAbility to write comprehensive reports.<\/p>\n
