As a key player in Zambia\u2019s leading aquaculture business, this role is central to ensuring that all functions at the DC. This role will provide for on-site leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction and to ensure operation are in sync to deliver exceptional performance and support our growth in Northern Region.<br \/>\nLocation: The role is based in Kitwe.<br \/>\nThe Right-Fit Candidate Will:<br \/>\nLead and coordinate\u00a0all operational functions\u00a0at the Kitwe DC.<br \/>\nEnsure\u00a0cross-functional alignment\u00a0and smooth day-to-day operations in a high-volume FMCG environment.<br \/>\nDrive\u00a0performance management, setting clear goals and KPIs for each function focus on warehouse and distribution.<br \/>\nAct as the\u00a0primary supervisor\u00a0on-site, enabling quick responses to operational challenges.<br \/>\nMonitor and improve\u00a0compliance, safety, and quality standards.<br \/>\nCollaborate with Lusaka HQ and other senior leaders to align on strategic goals.<br \/>\nBuild a culture of\u00a0accountability, continuous improvement, and\u00a0operational excellence.<br \/>\nManage budgets, resources, and reporting for the DC.<br \/>\nOversee\u00a0inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.<br \/>\nImplement and monitor\u00a0SOPs\u00a0across all departments to ensure consistency and efficiency.<br \/>\nLead\u00a0risk management\u00a0initiatives, identifying and mitigating operational risks.<br \/>\nEnsure\u00a0customer service excellence\u00a0by aligning operations with service delivery expectations.<br \/>\nSupport\u00a0technology adoption\u00a0and digital tools to improve operational visibility and decision-making.<br \/>\nPrepare and present\u00a0operational reports\u00a0to senior leadership, highlighting performance, challenges, and opportunities.<br \/>\nThe Manager Must Have:<br \/>\nStrong leadership experience in multi-functional operations or supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG sector.<br \/>\nProven ability to manage complex teams and systems.<br \/>\nExcellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.<br \/>\nHigh level of integrity, attention to detail, and business acumen.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.<br \/>\nThe Essentials<br \/>\nA Degree in Business Management or a relevant field.<br \/>\n5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or facility management.<br \/>\nExperience managing cross-functional teams and leading operational strategy.<br \/>\nWillingness to be based in Kitwe and work closely with Lusaka HQ.<br \/>\nIf this is YOU, we would like to hear from you today!!!
