\nWe are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:
\nASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT- TREASURY
\nGRADE G
\nCONTRACT: PERMANENT \u2013 LUSAKA
\nReporting to the Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:<\/p>\n
Timely matching of transactions processed in the cash books
\nReconciliation of bank balances at month end and resolve timely any discrepancy
\nDevelop cash forecasts for the business unit\u2019s (BU) and communicate to relevant parties on cash requirements. (using historical data and forecasts) and plan daily operational cash requirements for all BU locations.
\nOptimize use of cash through centralized cash pooling.
\nMonitoring utilisation and replenishment of petty cash.
\nEstablish and maintain good professional relationships with authorized banks.
\nMonitor service received against expectation and cost and compare actual charges and condition.
\nEnsure correct filing and retention of documentation of all financial transactions.<\/p>\n
This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
Degree in Accounting\/Finance\/Business or studying towards ACCA \/CIMA\/ZICA.
\n2 years\u2019 work experience in a manufacturing environment
\nSAP experience will be added advantage.
\nMicro office including excel, word, PowerPoint.
\nIn-depth knowledge of Treasury Accounting processes.
\nStrong negotiation skills and effective communication skills with people at all levels of the business.
\nGood analytical skills.
\nResilience to face internal and external customer claims.
\nAttentive to detail
\nMust be a registered member of ZICA. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, passion to learn and grow.<\/p>\n
