\nZambart\u00a0is an independent Zambian research organization whose headquarters is at the University of Zambia\u2019s Ridgeway Campus in Lusaka. Zambart is globally renowned for its interdisciplinary research on HIV and Tuberculosis and has contributed to HIV and TB policy and practice at national and global levels. Zambart\u2019s research portfolio now includes a broader scope of urgent public health issues. Zambart staff form an interdisciplinary team with a range of expertise including epidemiology, clinical science, social science, laboratory, operations research, health systems and services research, health policy analysis, health economics, health communication and counselling.
\nZambart\u2019 s vision\u00a0is to conduct quality interdisciplinary health research on issues of public health importance Zambia and contribute to improving health policy and practice leading to better health for all.
\nOur mission\u00a0is to contribute to global public health policy and practice through the generation of an evidence based by conducting high-quality health research in Zambia.
\nTo support our wide range of research activities, we are looking for an ambitious, suitably qualified candidate to fill the following exciting position that has arisen:
\nPosition: Study Drivers (2)
\nReporting To: Head Driver
\nJob Location: Lusaka
\n\u00a0
\nKey Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:<\/p>\n
Driving of the field staff to the assigned communities
\nCheck the condition of a vehicle\u2019s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, oil, lights, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working condition
\nComply with traffic regulations to operate the study vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
\nMonthly report on vehicles\u2019 status
\nTimely updates on due study vehicle service
\nMaintain knowledge of first aid procedures
\nRegular updating of vehicle logbook
\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Minimum grade Twelve (12) school certificate
\nBetween 30 years to 50 years of age
\nKnowledge of Zambian Highway Code
\nClean and valid class C driving license
\n10 years driving experience in a busy environment
\nTwo references from the most recent employment
\nBasic Knowledge of Mechanics
\nProfessional integrity including safeguarding standards<\/p>\n

Mature and sober character
\nReliable, dependable and honest
\nAbility to communicate in English and local languages fluently<\/p>\n
