EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
\nGoldenlay Agri Ltd is the largest producer, supplier and distributor of table eggs across Zambia, and boasting a brand familiar to retailers and consumers alike. Goldenlay is hereby inviting applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the position of FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT. The role will report to the Financial Controller.
\nSome of the tasks for this position include the following:<\/p>\n
Processing & performing bank reconciliations
\nBank Revaluations for Forex denominated bank accounts
\nProcessing Supplier Invoices, performing supplier reconciliations and preparing supplier payments
\nProcessing of Inter-company transactions & reconciling intercompany loan accounts
\nPerforming Stock counts & Stock reconciliations
\nPerforming General Ledger Control Account reconciliations
\nProcessing and Preparing Journals relating to Depreciation, Loan Revaluations, Interest, Salaries and other provisions
\nProcessing Petty cash
\nPreparation of monthly Management Accounts
\nHandling year-end audit queries from Auditors
\nHandling tax queries from ZRA
\nAny other ad hoc tasks<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:<\/p>\n
Must be computer literate with practical knowledge in M\/S Applications i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
\nMust be able to work under pressure and be deadline-driven
\nStrong communication skills
\nMeticulous attention to detail
\nHigh degree of accuracy
\nGood mathematical skills<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS \/ EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
Full ZICA, ACCA or Degree in Accountancy
\nAt least 3 years work experience as a Financial Accountant in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
\nProficient in Sage Accounting Software<\/p>\n
