\nLocation:\u00a0Kitwe Office (with possible visits to outlets)

\nJob Purpose
\nThe Accounts Assistant will provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to ensure accurate record-keeping, smooth supplier payments, timely reconciliations, and effective management of petty cash. This role is crucial in maintaining financial integrity across all outlets.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Financial Record Keeping
\nPost daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
\nMaintain proper filing of all finance documents (invoices, receipts, statements).
\nReconciliations
\nConduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
\nReconcile supplier accounts and follow up on discrepancies.
\nSupport reconciliation of outlet sales reports against deposits.
\nPayments & Cash Handling
\nPrepare payment vouchers for suppliers and staff reimbursements.
\nManage and account for petty cash float.
\nEnsure timely settlement of utility bills, rentals, and other operational expenses.
\nReporting
\nGenerate weekly expense reports for review by the Group Accountant.
\nSupport preparation of monthly financial reports.
\nCompliance & Internal Controls
\nEnsure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
\nSupport audit exercises by providing necessary records and explanations.<\/p>\n

\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n
Accuracy of financial entries (>95%).
\nTimeliness of reconciliations (weekly\/monthly deadlines met).
\nZero tolerance for petty cash mismanagement.
\nSupplier payments processed within agreed timelines.
\nPositive audit feedback with minimal queries.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience
\nDiploma\/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
\nMinimum 1\u20132 years\u2019 experience in an accounting or finance role (retail\/FMCG experience an added advantage).
\nProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
\nStrong MS Excel and data entry skills.
