Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
\nLubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.

\nLCML seeks to employ experienced and qualified individuals in the following positions:
\nMINE MECHANICAL ENGINEER (X2)
\nThis position reports to the Engineering Manager.
\nCore Purpose of the Position:
\nTo design, operate, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment used in mining operations, ensuring they function safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
\nKey Performance Areas\/Indicators (KPA\/Is):<\/p>\n
Ensure all mechanical statutories for the mine are adhered to in compliance with the mining regulations.
\nInstallation, testing and commissioning of machines both fixed and mobile are done in accordance with mining regulations.
\nImplementation and monitoring compliance on health and safety regulations on mechanical equipment.
\nEnsure company assets work safely and efficiently in accordance with the mining regulations.
\nMonitor and improve equipment availability.
\nGive oversight on maintenance equipment for both surface and underground mechanical equipment.
\nEnsure underground and surface equipment\u2019s are maintained to good standards for with minimum interruption to production.
\nShould have knowledge on underground dewatering system.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
\nMember of the Engineering institute of Zambia (EIZ).
\nMinimum of three to five years\u2019 practical experience in underground mining environment and mobile equipment.<\/p>\n
