{"id":5287,"date":"2025-09-11T16:02:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T16:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/refrigeration-technician-at-greys-talent-acquisition-specialists\/"},"modified":"2025-09-18T00:14:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T00:14:07","slug":"refrigeration-technician-at-greys-talent-acquisition-specialists","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=5287","title":{"rendered":"Refrigeration Technician at Greys Talent Acquisition Specialists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Opportunity: Refrigeration Technician<br \/>\nLocation: Lusaka<br \/>\nClosing Date: Wednesday, 17th September 2025<br \/>\nResponsibilities<br \/>\nTroubleshoot refrigeration systems for clients with diverse needs.<br \/>\nReplace faulty refrigeration parts of both electrical and refrigeration nature.<br \/>\nInstall new refrigeration systems, including cold\/freezer rooms, drop temperature systems, air conditioners, and related equipment.<br \/>\nPrepare documentation (e.g., refrigerant records, paperwork, material specifications) for compliance and reporting purposes.<br \/>\nProvide technical support and respond to queries from management and end-users.<br \/>\nTest and observe newly-installed systems to ensure proper functionality.<br \/>\nPerform maintenance tasks, including cleaning evaporator and condenser fans, checking refrigerant\/oil levels, monitoring oil quality, and recording system performance<br \/>\nConduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure consistent system operations<br \/>\nTechnical Competencies<br \/>\nAbility to interpret circuit diagrams, flow charts, and manuals.<br \/>\nKnowledge of refrigerant properties, materials, and metals used in refrigeration systems.<br \/>\nSkilled in handling and safely operating brazing gas bottles\/cylinders (oxygen and acetylene).<br \/>\nCompetence in pressure gauge use and interpretation for system optimization.<br \/>\nStrong pipe brazing ability for all pipe gauges; determining appropriate refrigerant quantities based on system size.<br \/>\nAbility to work effectively under pressure.<br \/>\nStrong problem-solving and conceptual skills.<br \/>\nBasic electrical knowledge is essential.<br \/>\nBehavioural Competencies<br \/>\nReport for work sober and on time.<br \/>\nAbility to follow instructions from supervisors.<br \/>\nStrong attendance and accountability.<br \/>\nAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with management and colleagues at all levels.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience<br \/>\nGrade 12 Certificate.<br \/>\nCrafts Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.<br \/>\nMinimum of 2 years\u2019 work experience in a similar role.<br \/>\nMembership with a recognized professional body.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
