The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong distributor and partner relationships, and ensuring sustainable market expansion.<br \/>\nThe position requires\u00a0proven experience in the tobacco industry\u00a0and the ability to navigate regional market dynamics. The role covers the following countries:\u00a0South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Eswatini, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nBusiness Duties<\/p>\n<p>Shape and drive the business development agenda for the assigned region supporting the organization\u2019s business objectives\/operational plan\/strategic agenda for the fiscal year, through close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, business partners, and distributors.<br \/>\nDevelop a regional business plan meeting individualized territory objectives, identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, and targeting existing and new market opportunities within the region.<br \/>\nAchieve business objective goals related to brand share\/volume (Shipment &amp; IMS), profit, distribution, visibility, and stock management for assigned customers and distributors.<br \/>\nDeliver on commercial sales growth objectives and KPIs within the assigned territory in support of the Region and Company goals.<br \/>\nBuild business partner and distributor willingness and capability to collaborate with the company on key business fundamentals and drivers to accelerate business growth and increase market share.<br \/>\nOversee the management of key distributors in the assigned region ensuring progress to the agreed strategic direction.<br \/>\nFacilitate the development of a 3-month demand plan for the responsible area.<br \/>\nEffectively manage the credit risk allocated to respective distributors.<br \/>\nCo-create region-wide brand, trade, and consumer activation strategy\/plan for assigned markets.<br \/>\nDeploy Trade &amp; Consumer Activation programs within the territories with timely execution and spend effectiveness.<br \/>\nProactively propose interventions to regional plans to the Commercial Director.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree or comparable work experience.<br \/>\nStrong background in the tobacco industry is essential.<br \/>\nMinimum 5\u20137 years\u2019 experience in a multinational or large regional organisation.<br \/>\nDemonstrable experience in a senior trade marketing-focused role, including sales, business development, distributor management, trade deployment, and field marketing.<br \/>\nProficiency in MS Office applications.<br \/>\nCommitted to continuous personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n<p>Key Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Effective influencing, sales, negotiation, and marketing skills.<br \/>\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.<br \/>\nStrong analytical, strategic, and financial acumen.<br \/>\nProject management and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nLeadership, self-motivation, and initiative.<br \/>\nPersistence, resilience, and results orientation.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\nConflict management and customer relationship skills.<\/p>\n<p>Compensation:<br \/>\nThe incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
