We are seeking an experienced and motivated Techno-Commercial Manager to play a key role in establishing and growing a greenfield printing & packaging operation in Lusaka, Zambia. Open to all nationalities.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Oversee planning and implementation of factory setup, equipment procurement, installation, and testing.
\nLiaise with government authorities to ensure compliance with investment and regulatory requirements.
\nMonitor construction progress and machinery installation.
\nSource and manage supplier relationships (capex, raw materials, opex).
\nHandle importation processes for machinery and materials.
\nLead recruitment and onboarding of production and operational staff.
\nDevelop client relationships and support sales activities.
\nTransition into operations management (sales, production, QC, maintenance) once the factory is operational.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Degree in Printing Technology (preferred).
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in either operations, industrial engineering, or business administration.<\/p>\n
Necessary Experience:<\/p>\n
At least 10 years of working experience.
\nThe candidate must have managerial experience in the printing & packaging sector, ideally with experience of gravure or UV flexo or CI flexo technologies, as a production manager.
\nIdeally the candidate will have had experience in sales.
\nIdeally the candidate will have experience in the labelling industry (Paper, BOPP, PVC, Self Adhesive, etc).
\nIdeally the candidate will have worked in Africa in a managerial capacity.<\/p>\n

ISO certification
\nHAACP or Food Safety
\nKaizen or Six Sigma
\nExposure to packaging sector ERP
\nExperience with SAP S4Hana or similar<\/p>\n
Age: Minimum 35 years old
