In partnership with the Government of Zambia, we bring healthcare directly into schools so that children stay healthy, stay in class, and reach their full potential. Our model is government-owned and government-led, fully embedded in national priorities, systems, and structures.<br \/>\nToday, we operate in over 720 public schools across all ten provinces, reaching more than 1.1 million learners through Zambia\u2019s first integrated School Health Program. Through your ability to build trust, encourage risk-taking, and nurture courageous conversations, you promote an environment where individuals can thrive and collaborate effectively.<br \/>\nPOSITION OVERVIEW<br \/>\nThe Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the organization\u2019s fleet and logistics operations to support effective program delivery, while ensuring adherence to organizational policies, donor requirements, and applicable regulations, as well as coordinating with external service providers.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nCoordinate Logistics Processes and Strategy<br \/>\nLiaise with internal teams, vendors, logistics providers, transportation companies, and beneficiaries to plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations.<br \/>\nDevelop and implement best-practice logistics principles, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.<br \/>\nProvide practical solutions to logistics challenges while maintaining quality, service standards, and adherence to budget requirements.<br \/>\nConduct periodic reviews of logistics changes (e.g. routes, transport modes) and report findings to relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\nManagement of fuel accounts at multiple filling stations and facilitating timely reimbursements.<br \/>\nAnalyze logistics trends and provide data insights to support service improvements and cost reduction strategies.<br \/>\nEnsure logistics-related systems are functional and generating accurate operational effectiveness.<br \/>\nPrepare, maintain, and ensure accessibility of process metrics, reports, and documentation at all times.<br \/>\nFleet Regulatory Adherence<br \/>\nEnsure that all drivers and passengers follow Healthy Learners\u2019 fleet policies and procedures.<br \/>\nEnforce compliance with all applicable vehicle use laws and regulations.<br \/>\nEnsure all vehicle incidents are promptly reported, thoroughly investigated, resolved, and properly filed.<br \/>\nMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fleet operations.<br \/>\n.<br \/>\nDevelop and implement strategies to reduce vehicle operating costs.<br \/>\nEnsure all toll fees and traffic infringements are promptly reported and accurately recorded.<br \/>\nFleet Maintenance and Reporting<br \/>\nPlan and schedule routine maintenance and necessary repairs for all vehicles.<br \/>\nEnsure all statutory vehicle licenses, registrations, and related requirements are current at all times.<br \/>\nConduct and document regular vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and efficiency.<br \/>\nPrepare and maintain fuel consumption and analysis reports.<br \/>\nTrack, record, and monitor all parts replacements and repair activities.<br \/>\nEnsure that the GPS units are functional at all times and all relevant reports and alerts are shared with relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\nSupervision<br \/>\nSupervise and provide guidance to all drivers.<br \/>\nPrepare driver leave schedules.<br \/>\nIdentify and recommend driver training needs.<br \/>\nConduct orientation sessions for newly recruited drivers.<br \/>\nCompile and submit reports on driver performance and effectiveness.<br \/>\nSKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<br \/>\nMinimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply chain management, Logistics, or<br \/>\nPrior experience of working in logistics \/ supply chain \/ transportation function with comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures<br \/>\nProficient data platforms and excel user<br \/>\nMembership of an appropriate professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is required.<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.<br \/>\nPassion for Healthy Learners\u2019 Vision &amp; Mission<br \/>\nWHAT WE OFFER<br \/>\nOpportunity for Impact: Play a pivotal role in implementing a program that improves health outcomes for millions of schoolchildren, shaping the future of communities across Africa.<br \/>\nCompetitive Compensation: Receive a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects your expertise and commitment.<br \/>\nProfessional Growth: Access ongoing training, leadership opportunities, and engage in innovative projects that challenge and inspire you.<br \/>\nSupportive Culture: Join a passionate, dedicated team that values collaboration and mutual support, fostering an environment where all contributions are recognized.<br \/>\nNetworking Opportunities: Collaborate with international organizations and enhance your network and influence in the public health sector.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
