This role involves managing a team of bus drivers and a mechanic, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in excellent condition, and collaborating closely with our primary client to meet their transportation needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in automotive maintenance, and proficiency in computer applications relevant to transportation management.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nTeam Leadership:<br \/>\nSupervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of bus drivers and the mechanic.<br \/>\nConduct regular performance evaluations and provide training to ensure high service standards.<br \/>\nFoster a positive and productive work environment.<br \/>\nFleet Management:<br \/>\nEnsure all buses are clean, safe, and in optimal working condition.<br \/>\nOversee routine maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.<br \/>\nClient Collaboration:<br \/>\nAct as the primary liaison between the transportation team and the main client.<br \/>\nUnderstand and fulfill client transportation requirements and address any concerns promptly.<br \/>\nProvide regular updates and reports to the client regarding service performance.<br \/>\nAdministrative Duties:<br \/>\nUtilize computer systems to manage schedules, maintenance logs, and communication.<br \/>\nPrepare and submit reports on transportation activities, incidents, and performance metrics.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.<br \/>\nQualifications:<br \/>\nEducation &amp; Certification:<br \/>\nCertificate or diploma in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.<br \/>\nValid driver\u2019s license with appropriate endorsements for bus operation.<br \/>\nExperience:<br \/>\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within transportation or fleet management.<br \/>\nProven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.<br \/>\nDemonstrated ability to manage teams and coordinate with clients effectively.<br \/>\nSkills:<br \/>\nProficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.<br \/>\nStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities.<br \/>\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly.<br \/>\nWorking Conditions:<br \/>\nPrimarily office-based with frequent visits to bus depots and maintenance facilities.<br \/>\nMay require working outside regular business hours, including weekends and holidays, to address operational needs.<br \/>\nLive in Siavonga or willing to relocate to Siavonga<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
