Technical Supervisor \u2013 (Multiple Positions)
\nBIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. The Group operates in Europe (Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg) and in more than 20 African countries and employs more than 1.300 people, including more than 850 engineers and technicians.
\nGeneral Responsibilities:
\nSafety & Work Environment
\n\u2022 Maintain a zero tolerance for safety breaches.
\n\u2022 Ensure a clean and safe working environment for the team.
\n\u2022 Ensure timely submission of documentation and high standards of timekeeping.
\n\u2022 Promote change management practices, ensuring the workforce is well-informed.
\n\u2022 Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with safety standards set by BIA.
\nMachinery & Equipment Maintenance:
\n\u2022 Ensure preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
\n\u2022 Troubleshoot malfunctions by observing equipment in operation and using precision measuring instruments.
\n\u2022 Adjust and repair functional parts of devices and control instruments with hand tools.
\n\u2022 Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories and place orders when necessary.
\n\u2022 Monitor and control maintenance resources to conserve equipment and supplies.
\n\u2022 Provide mechanical maintenance information and submit timely reports to management.
\nQuality & Work Documentation:
\n\u2022 Oversee work quality by inspecting the techniques used by production workers.
\n\u2022 Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs within work teams.
\n\u2022 Ensure all work is performed according to BIA safety standards and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
\n\u2022 Keep detailed records and files for each task and ensure all maintenance reports are completed accurately.
\n\u2022 Ensure the availability of parts when required and manage project delays professionally.
\nProject Management & Coordination:
\n\u2022 Establish and maintain basic services and supplies required to complete daily tasks.
\n\u2022 Monitor quality of work, workflows, and productivity for effective maintenance and logistics services.
\n\u2022 Prepare scope of work for repairs and ensure all tasks comply with maintenance, health, and safety standards.
\n\u2022 Identify and communicate project risks using the escalation process when necessary.
\n\u2022 Provide regular project updates and ensure all resources are available for timely work completion.
\nWho are looking for?
\nEducation & Qualification<\/p>\n
Beng. Mechanical or equivalent
\nGood computer skills with knowledge in MS-Word, Excel, Projects
\nVery good knowledge of mechanics and electricity<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Atleast 5 years technical experience in mining industry
\nKnowledge and high level of experience with Heavy Equipment
\nField troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience
\nProficient in English both Oral and Written
\nIT software knowledge (pack office + diagnostic and fleet management tools)
\nAbility to draft technical reports
\nKnowledge of troubleshooting procedures<\/p>\n
