The role involves coordinating and monitoring helpdesk activities, documenting incidents, escalating unresolved problems and tracking service performance against agreed standards. In addition, the position supports project planning and execution by coordinating resources, monitoring timelines, preparing reports and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders. This dual role requires strong organizational, multitasking and communication skills to balance day-to-day support operations with project coordination responsibilities.<br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:<br \/>\nStaff &amp; Operations Management:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manage the day-to-day operations of the help desk.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Handle staff scheduling and performance evaluations.<br \/>\nTechnical Support<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide first-level technical support for users via phone, email and in-person.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level IT staff.<br \/>\nSystem &amp; Process Management:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Utilize IT ticketing systems to log, track and resolve customer issues and requests.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Monitor critical infrastructure systems using standard monitoring tools.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Identify trends in support requests and suggest improvements to processes and documentation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nReporting &amp; Communication:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain detailed logs of support activities and resolutions.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare regular reports on help desk activities and performance.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Communicate with customers to provide status updates and ensure satisfaction.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure compliance with company and legal standards.<br \/>\nQualifications:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grade 12 Certificate<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A College diploma or higher in IT, project management or related fields<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software and networking. Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong interpersonal, communication and active listening skills. Ability to speak politely and respond quickly to customer queries.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail and maintain accurate records<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
