Background<br \/>\nThe Ranch Apartments provide high-quality serviced accommodation in Lusaka. \u00a0To maintain the standards of comfort and hospitality expected by our guests, a dedicated Housekeeper is required to ensure cleanliness, smooth check-ins, and timely reporting of maintenance issues.<br \/>\n2. Objectives of the Role<br \/>\nThe Housekeeper will be responsible for:<br \/>\nMaintaining the cleanliness and order of apartments and shared spaces.<br \/>\nAssisting with guest arrivals and check-ins.<br \/>\nMonitoring and promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs to management.<br \/>\n3. Key Responsibilities<br \/>\nA. Housekeeping &amp; Cleaning<br \/>\nClean and prepare apartments before guest check-in (including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor areas).<br \/>\nPerform daily cleaning for occupied apartments (make beds, refresh towels and linens, empty bins, sweep\/mop floors, wipe surfaces).<br \/>\nLaundry and iron linens, towels, and laundry from guests as needed.<br \/>\nEnsure high standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the apartments and common areas.<br \/>\nB. Guest Services<br \/>\nWelcome and assist guests at check-in, showing them the apartment and explaining available amenities.<br \/>\nProvide basic guest support (e.g., answering questions about house rules, local services, or facilities).<br \/>\nEnsure apartments are guest-ready at all times.<br \/>\nAssist with check-out procedures, including inspection of apartments and collection of keys.<br \/>\nC. Maintenance Reporting<br \/>\nRegularly inspect apartments and common areas for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction (plumbing, electrical fittings, furniture, equipment).<br \/>\nImmediately report maintenance issues in writing.<br \/>\nFollow up on reported issues to ensure timely resolution.<br \/>\nSuggest improvements for upkeep and efficiency where relevant.<br \/>\nD. Other duties<br \/>\nAny other duties as may be assigned.<br \/>\n4. Working Hours<br \/>\nFlexibility required for guest arrivals\/departures outside standard hours.<br \/>\n5. Skills &amp; Qualifications<br \/>\nDiploma or certificate in hospitality or housekeeping.<br \/>\nPrevious housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred.<br \/>\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.<br \/>\nBasic communication skills in English.<br \/>\nFriendly, professional, and guest-oriented attitude.<br \/>\nReliability and ability to work with minimal supervision.<br \/>\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Words and Excel.<br \/>\n6. Reporting &amp; Supervision<br \/>\nThe Housekeeper will report directly to the housekeeping manager and will provide:<br \/>\nA weekly maintenance issues report.<br \/>\nImmediate alerts for urgent problems affecting guest comfort or safety.<br \/>\n7. Duration &amp; Review<br \/>\nThe contract will run for 1 year with three months\u2019 probation, renewable upon satisfactory performance.<br \/>\nPerformance will be reviewed quarterly, with feedback on cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and accuracy of maintenance reporting.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
