\nPosition Overview
\nThe Disaster & Relief Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing Share Vision Network\u2019s disaster preparedness, emergency response, and relief interventions. This role ensures timely, efficient, and effective delivery of humanitarian aid and disaster recovery efforts. The Coordinator will collaborate with government agencies, international partners, and local communities to strengthen resilience and minimize the impact of disasters.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nDevelop and implement disaster preparedness, response, and recovery strategies aligned with SVN\u2019s mission.
\nCoordinate and manage emergency relief operations, including needs assessments, logistics, and distribution of aid.
\nCollaborate with local authorities, humanitarian agencies, and community organizations to ensure effective response coordination.
\nEstablish and maintain emergency response systems, including rapid response teams and volunteer networks.
\nTrain staff and community members on disaster risk reduction, first aid, and emergency protocols.
\nMonitor disaster-affected areas, conduct rapid assessments, and prepare situation reports for management and partners.
\nManage relief supply chains, including procurement, storage, and distribution of food, water, shelter materials, and medical supplies.
\nDocument and evaluate relief interventions to improve future preparedness and response.
\nEnsure compliance with humanitarian standards, donor requirements, and national disaster management frameworks.
\nAdvocate for community resilience and disaster risk reduction in line with national and international best practices.
\nQualifications
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Disaster Management, Humanitarian Studies, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field (Master\u2019s preferred).
\nAt least 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in disaster response, humanitarian relief, or emergency program management.
\nStrong understanding of disaster risk reduction (DRR) frameworks, humanitarian principles, and emergency logistics.
