The role will oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and preparation of timely financial statements, while ensuring adherence to IFRS 17, tax laws, and regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager will also strengthen internal controls, coordinate external audits, and provide strategic insights to management. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a proven track record in finance or external audit.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop annual budgets and forecasts.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure accuracy and timeliness of management reports for decision-making.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manage cashflows, working capital, and liquidity to meet operational needs.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Establish strong internal controls and oversee external audits.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Supervise and mentor finance team members.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or external audit.<br \/>\nSkills<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 17 and regulatory compliance.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Deep understanding of insurance-specific financial reporting.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Strong knowledge of Zambian tax laws<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Excellent negotiation and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
