About One Acre Fund
\nFounded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa\u2019s farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. \nIn Zambia, our focus is on agroforestry. We provide farmers with a package of different tree varieties and the training they need to create an additional source of income while strengthening their resilience in the face of a changing climate. The tree package provides farmers with a range of benefits, from medicinal use to food and timber. In the longer term, we also plan to help farmers generate income through the carbon credit market. We are headquartered in Kabwe and operate throughout the Central Province, including Chibombo, Chisamba, Kapiri, and Luano districts, where most people rely on agriculture for their livelihoods. \nAbout the Role
\nThis role ensures we strengthen relations with and build champions with low \u2013 mid level stakeholders at the district level and local government level, support One Acre Fund expansion, and ensure all One Acre Fund operations are compliant at the district level You will be a part of the Government Relations and Policy team and will report directly to Government Relations Specialist.
\nResponsibilities
\nYou will provide administrative support to local government officials, including preparing agendas, minutes, and other documents for meetings and events.
\nYou will assist with budget preparation, tracking, and reporting, including data entry and spreadsheet management.
\nYou will coordinate logistics for community events, meetings, and projects, including arranging for facilities, equipment, and supplies.
\nYou will process and track permits, licenses, and other documents, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
\nYou will maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including databases, filing systems, and other documentation.

\nQualifications
\nAcross all roles, these are the\u00a0general qualifications we look for.\u00a0For this role specifically, you will have:
\n2+ years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a government setting.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
\nFamiliarity with local government regulations, policies, and procedures.
\nHave a valid motorbike license.
\nStakeholder management, building partnerships, and networking experience.
\nExperience in Project Management and negotiation.
\nExperience in Communication skills, Oral and written, and report writing.
