GARDENER\/GENERAL WORKER
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Monitor the health of all plants, trees, shrubs, and green spaces, ensuring proper watering, feeding, and fertilization.<\/p>\n
Trim and shape trees and shrubs, mow lawns, weed gardens, and maintain walkways clear of debris and litter.<\/p>\n
Plant and nurture new flowers, trees, and plants, maintaining their growth according to the lodge\u2019s landscaping standards.<\/p>\n
Use and maintain landscaping equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, and gardening tools.<\/p>\n
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other plant treatments following health, safety, and environmental regulations.<\/p>\n
Perform basic grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, leaf raking, emptying bins, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.<\/p>\n
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance for all outdoor guest areas.<\/p>\n
Report any maintenance issues or plant health concerns to management promptly.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with a credit or better in English and Mathematics.<\/p>\n
Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or garden maintenance.<\/p>\n
Certification in landscaping or horticulture is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision.<\/p>\n
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining attractive gardens.<\/p>\n
Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and safe plant care practices.<\/p>\n
