\nPurpose
\nTo be responsible for designing, supporting and maintaining Rajant Kinetic mesh and Kenwood (Two way) networks on site.
\n\u00a0
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Manage and provide network systems and administration services including designing, building, tuning, backup and recovery
\nProvide technical support on the network infrastructure
\nProvide technical consultation in the design and development of infrastructure network systems to ensure a robust and stable environment.
\nParticipate in formulating and implementing IT standards and policies to support the operational environment
\nDevelop all supporting technical documentation to facilitate consistency and quality of installations, systems upgrade and recovery\/ repair.
\nDevelop and implement processes to assist with problem management, change management and performance monitoring to support effective operational management.
\nPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisor<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in IT, Computer science, Telecommunications or Electrical\/Electronic with a STRONG bias in networking.
\nShould be a Cisco certified network associate (CCNA)
\nExperience in Rajant and Kenwood radios would be given higher preference<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Strong CISCO networking skills in Routing & Switching
\nExperience in management with skills to develop network Infrastructure
\nVLAN and spanning tree implementations
\nCompetent in Sub netting and VLSM
\nHigh standardized documentation skills aligned with local and group services requirements
\nDiagnosing and troubleshooting issues within an IPv4 environment including fault finding possible TCP port issues at edge firewalls and escalating accordingly
\nCompetent in completing Copper cable terminations
\nCompetent in splicing of fiber optic cables<\/p>\n
