\nThe\u00a0Key Purpose\u00a0of this role is to Safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment and related processes in order to achieve optimal effectiveness.
\n\u00a0
\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
\nInterpret and implement production plan for shift
\nOperate manual and automatic machines online as per standards
\nMonitor production processes on shift and correct any negative trends
\nEnsure process quality and productivity
\nComplete associated tracking and monitoring: Complete operator
\nWorkstation administration and take action as required.
\nComplete Team room administration as required
\nContribute to self-development
\nManage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends
\nUse QFR\u2019s (As per triggers)
\nComplete 5 WHY\u2019s (As per triggers) with relevant team members
\nContribute towards AB reports as required.
\nConduct autonomous operations
\nOperating equipment in Packaging process areas according to VPO standards
\nConstantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
\nRecording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems. Review trends to identify & resolve problems
\nCarrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas.
\nIdentify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or
\nTeam Leader to assist with resolution.
\nAssisting the Process Artisan\/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.
\nCarrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.
\nThe list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions.
\nReact to the results using the VPO tools supplied
\nActively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
\nMake use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.
\nComplete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring\u00a0the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated.
\nWhere problems occur, use the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues.<\/p>\n

\nMinimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Internal Criteria Grade 12
\nMechanical or Electrical aptitude
\nMachine specific experience
\nExternal Criteria: Technical qualification (Mechanical\/Electrical Certificate\u00a0or advanced technician )
\n9 months on the job training, SKAP completed
\nCompleted SKAP within 12 months
\nExperience within a packaging FMCG industry (Desirable)<\/p>\n
