We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Fleet Supervisor to play a pivotal role in this exciting journey.<br \/>\nRole Overview:<br \/>\nThe Commercial Fleet Supervisor is a critical leadership position responsible for the strategic management and daily operation of our commercial vehicle fleet. This includes tankers, trucks, and other heavy vehicles essential to our core business operations. You will be tasked with ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while enforcing the highest standards of safety and compliance.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nOversee the daily scheduling, routing, and deployment of all commercial vehicles (tankers, trucks, heavy vehicles).<br \/>\nManage and optimize fleet fuel management systems to control and reduce fuel consumption and costs.<br \/>\nDevelop and execute logistics planning for commercial operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.<br \/>\nLead and mentor a team of drivers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism.<br \/>\nEnsure 100% compliance for all vehicles regarding licenses, insurance, taxes, and safety equipment.<br \/>\nCollaborate closely with the Maintenance team to prioritize repairs, minimize vehicle downtime, and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are strictly adhered to.<br \/>\nImplement and enforce new transport policies and procedures.<br \/>\nPrepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and issues.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nDiploma, Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a duly accredited higher learning institution.<br \/>\nA requirement of this role is the successful verification of all academic and professional qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<br \/>\nShould be an affiliated member of CILT.<br \/>\nMinimum of 5 years of proven experience in a fleet management or transport logistics role, specifically with commercial heavy vehicles.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of Driver Management, maintenance schedules, and lifecycle management.<br \/>\nDemonstrable experience in fuel management systems and logistics planning.<br \/>\nMust be knowledgeable in cross border operations.<br \/>\nProficiency in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Power BI is a distinct advantage.<br \/>\nExcellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
