POSITION: SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER
\nThis role reports to the\u00a0Manager Procurement and Supplies.\u00a0The job holder will implement the best procurement techniques to achieve the best value for money.
\nKey Performance Areas<\/p>\n
Sourcing for goods and services upon receipt of approved purchase requisitions from stores and end users to maintain international standards.
\nNegotiating for best prices prior to preparation of tender analysis and recommending to supervisor most favourable supplier to meet budget requirement.
\nManaging contracts and executing all aspects of procuring to optimise operational performance and conformance to any new legal regulations.
\nAttending to contract administration queries.
\nManaging and strictly adhering to the budget and procurement plan.
\nPreparing draft contracts in line with procurement guidelines and expediting approval of the contacts.
\nPreparing solicitation documents and inquiries.
\nProviding procurement guidelines as Secretary to the Procurement
\nExecuting procurement guidelines to ensure that the Corporation conforms to the prescribed public procurement standards.
\nElectronic Procurement Management
\nEnsuring that all electronic procurement processes are enforced.
\nAttending to suppliers who call in person and clarifying queries on phone with local and international suppliers to maintain business harmony.
\nAssisting the Senior Manager Procurement and Supplies in dealing with administrative issues and supervising subordinates<\/p>\n

\nQualifications
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate with 5 O\u2019 level credits or better including English and Mathematics
\nFull CIPS qualification or a degree in Purchasing and Supply or any other relevant degree
\nMinimum of three (3) years practical experience
\nA valid driving license is an added advantage<\/p>\n
