The Zambezi Cashews Company Limited (ZCCL), a subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), was established in 2018 to drive economic growth, enhance food security, and develop the Western Province through large-scale cashew production. With 517 hectares of productive plantation on a 25,599-hectare landholding, ZCCL is poised for significant expansion. However, to realize this potential and ensure operational excellence, the company requires skilled professionals in key managerial roles.

\nThe Company is looking to fill the following position:<\/p>\n
SENIOR SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER<\/p>\n
Role Overview:
\nTo develop and execute sales and marketing strategies that drive domestic and international demand for export-grade cashew nuts, enhance the company\u2019s market presence, and maximize revenue growth. The role is responsible for market research, branding, sales development, customer relationship management, and supporting the company\u2019s strategic objective of industrializing and scaling ZCCL\u2019s operations.
\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Sales Strategy and Business Development<\/p>\n
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and market share targets.
\nIdentify new domestic and international market opportunities for cashew nuts.
\nBuild and maintain relationships with key buyers, distributors, and export partners.
\nNegotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with customers.<\/p>\n
Marketing and Brand Management<\/p>\n
Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote ZCCL\u2019s products and brand.
\nConduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
\nSupport product positioning, packaging, and branding to meet export quality standards.
\nOrganize promotional events, trade shows, and buyer visits to enhance market visibility.<\/p>\n
Customer Relationship Management<\/p>\n
Manage customer accounts and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
\nResolve customer complaints and feedback efficiently and professionally.
\nDevelop customer intelligence reports to inform sales and marketing strategies.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Performance Monitoring<\/p>\n
Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
\nPrepare regular sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management.
\nMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives.<\/p>\n
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
Work closely with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
\nCoordinate with government agencies, trade bodies, and export authorities for compliance and market access.
\nCollaborate with outgrower schemes to ensure product quality and supply consistency.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O Levels.
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales Management, or related field.
\nProfessional membership with the\u00a0Zambia Institute of Marketing\u00a0(ZIM).
\nMinimum three (3) years of work experience in a similar position.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Strategic Sales: Ability to develop and execute a successful sales strategy.
\nMarket Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the global agricultural or food product market, particularly for nuts.
\nNegotiation: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close deals and build long-term partnerships.
\nCommunication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.
\nAnalytical Skills: Competence in analyzing sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.
