\nDIESEL MECHANIC (x1)
\nOverall Mission of the Role:The incumbent will have the responsibility of maintaining and repairing Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME), including running diagnostic tests on all diesel-powered machines\/vehicles, maintaining detailed maintenance records and upholding world class mobile workshop maintenance\/safety standards.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Carrying out daily inspections on Heavy Mobile equipment<\/p>\n
Carry out scheduled OEM maintenance on all Diesel Machines<\/p>\n
Preparing equipment and tools to be used<\/p>\n
Carrying out corrective planned maintenance<\/p>\n
Maintain all critical service parts (Original or OEM) in stores<\/p>\n
Ensure all reference OEM manuals for every equipment are filed in Technical Documentation<\/p>\n
Attend to breakdowns quickly<\/p>\n
Maximizing equipment efficiency through modern Condition Monitoring Techniques<\/p>\n
Fault finding on Loaders, Cranes, Diesel Generators, Light Vehicles, Locomotives and Bulk Tanker Trucks<\/p>\n
Completing work orders in CMMS (Maximo)<\/p>\n
Performing ad hoc duties as and when required<\/p>\n
Ensure that all tasks are carried out in line with company H&S procedures and advisories including suitable risk assessments, safe systems of work and permits to work<\/p>\n
Performs any other tasks assigned by superiors<\/p>\n
Educational Background & Experience<\/p>\n
Advanced Craft Certificate or Diploma in Mechanics\/HER<\/p>\n
Minimum of 3 years\u2019 work experience in fault finding, maintenance & repairs of HME\/mobile crushing equipment for Diploma holders and 5 years for Technicians.<\/p>\n
Experience in mining\/quarry environment would serve as an advantage.<\/p>\n
Must be a registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia<\/p>\n
Technical and Behavioral skills<\/p>\n
OEM Specialised Certification training on FELs\/TLBs will be added advantage<\/p>\n
Proven abilities in Math, reading, mechanical aptitude and logical thinking<\/p>\n
Knowledge of safety equipment, rules and regulations.<\/p>\n
Applicants must be willing to work irregular hours.<\/p>\n
Must be able to read hydraulic schematics and electrical drawing.<\/p>\n
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment<\/p>\n
Multi-discipline mechanical knowledge<\/p>\n
Must be a team player.<\/p>\n
High levels of accuracy.<\/p>\n
Reliable and self-driven<\/p>\n
