\nChilanga Cement, Ndola Plant, is looking to recruit dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individuals to take up the roles of:<\/p>\n
1. PROCESS ENGINEER (x2)
\nOverall Mission of the Role:Within the framework of the Plant objectives and the mission is:<\/p>\n
Organize, Plan, Supervise, assess and advise on raw mix preparation and Management of alternative raw material.<\/p>\n
Organize, Plan, supervise, assess and advise on grinding shop operations.<\/p>\n
Organize, plan, supervise, assess and advise Pyro \u2013 process operations.<\/p>\n
Ensure and enforce implementation and compliance to all Chilanga Cement process best practices for efficient process performances.<\/p>\n
Performance Criteria<\/p>\n
Respects and reinforces Chilanga Cement Health and safety best practices at zero tolerance.
\nBuy vitamins and supplements<\/p>\n
Ensures creation and implementation of experimentation plans for efficient raw mix preparation.<\/p>\n
Ensures good management and efficient use of alternative raw materials and additives.<\/p>\n
Organizes complete mill audit in autonomy.<\/p>\n
Identifies deviations in mills operations, advises and validates corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Designs and supervises the grinding process experimentation plan when necessary.<\/p>\n
Calculate checks and advises on dimensions of critical process equipment.<\/p>\n
Organizes complete kilns audits in autonomy.<\/p>\n
Identifies deviations in Kilns and Clinker cooler performances and advises and validates corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Designs and supervises Pyro process necessary experimentation plan to improve performance including alternative fuel management.<\/p>\n
Ensures daily process performance tracking tools data analysis and advises on improvement actions.<\/p>\n
Reviews process engineers\u2019 daily performance, defines the gaps and initiates development plans to bridge the gaps.<\/p>\n
Performs any other tasks assigned by supervisor.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Respects and reinforces Chilanga Cement Health and Safety Standards by visible felt leadership and involvement.
\nBuy vitamins and supplements<\/p>\n
Respects and enforces Chilanga Cement and local environmental standards and compliance.<\/p>\n
Organizes and plans Homo efficiency analysis.<\/p>\n
Organizes and plans for the introduction of alternative new raw materials and additives.<\/p>\n
Sets up, supervises, regular follow-up and reports on mills performance and conditions.<\/p>\n
Organizes mills audits in plants and validates recommendations.<\/p>\n
Organizes and attends weekly performance tracking, tools trends review meeting.<\/p>\n
Attends to all quality drift RCFA meetings organized by Quality, Production and Process and advises the teams accordingly.<\/p>\n
Organize and plan regular optimization of gypsum, grinding aid and cement additives.<\/p>\n
Regular checking and supervision of the mills, charge management to avoid performance drops related to it.<\/p>\n
Liaise with technical centre, Maintenance and projects in the redesign\/revamp of fans, dust collectors, mills internals, process samplers and all other crucial process equipment.<\/p>\n
Efficient use of Chilanga Cement tools for benchmarking with other plants and timely release of all mandatory Process reports.<\/p>\n
Organize plan, supervise and validate Pyro process audits in the plant.<\/p>\n
Enforce regular measurements on cyclone efficiencies.<\/p>\n
Organize and plan for pre-heater by-pass measurements and advise on the improvements.<\/p>\n
Organize and plan for the efficient handling, management and firing of alternative fuels when applicable.<\/p>\n
Put in place a robust process engineer\u2019s development plan in view of Chilanga Cement Best Practice.<\/p>\n
Performs any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.<\/p>\n
Education background & Experience<\/p>\n
University Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.<\/p>\n
3\u20135 years\u2019 work experience in a continuous process manufacturing industry.<\/p>\n
Must be a registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills<\/p>\n
Good knowledge of products and manufacturing process.<\/p>\n
Perform Process measurements.<\/p>\n
Organize and audit the plant.<\/p>\n
Write and interpret audit reports with necessary recommendations<\/p>\n
Good knowledge of process and control measuring instruments<\/p>\n
Have a good knowledge of SPC methods and project management skills<\/p>\n
Skills in planning and executing process optimization exercises<\/p>\n
Safety awareness and hazard operating duty skills<\/p>\n
Computer literacy<\/p>\n
