The role involves monitoring and evaluating compliance issues while cultivating and promoting a culture of compliance and integrity within the organisation.<br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n1.\u00a0Regulatory Compliance<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Monitor regulatory developments and ensures compliance and adherence with all relevant laws, regulations and guidelines from regulatory bodies.<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Monitoring regulatory updates and implementing necessary changes.<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Prepare and submit required regulatory reports accurately and on time<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections, audits or inquiries.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0Internal Compliance Monitoring<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Conduct internal review, risk assessments and compliance audits to evaluate adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective action<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Monitor suspicious transactions and ensure reporting to relevant authorities as required<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Ensure that proper Know Your Customer (KYC) and customer due diligence processes are followed.<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Identifying and mitigating compliance risks.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0Training and Awareness<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Train staff on compliance related matters such as Anti-Money Laundering, data protection, and ethical conduct<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Promote a culture of compliance through awareness programmes and continuous engagement<br \/>\n4.\u00a0Policy Development and Review<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Draft, update and implement compliance related policies and procedures<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Ensure that all departments understand and follow relevant policies<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Ensure that policies align with regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Maintain compliance records, including audit findings, regulatory correspondence and training records<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Reporting compliance issues to management and regulatory bodies.<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Report regularly to senior management and\/or the Board on compliance status, risks and breaches<br \/>\n6.\u00a0Audit and Investigation<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance.<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Investigating compliance breaches and implementing corrective actions.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration or related field<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0At least\u00a06 (Six)\u00a0years of experience in Audit, Risk or Compliance with\u00a03\u00a0years in leadership position preferably in the financial or microfinance sector<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Good knowledge of regulatory reporting<br \/>\nSkills and Competencies<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Strong understanding of financial regulations and microfinance operations<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Strong interpersonal and communication skills<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0Problem-solving and conflict resolution\u00a0skills<br \/>\n\u00a7\u00a0High proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance monitoring tools<br \/>\nKey Relationships<br \/>\nInternal: All staff, Senior Management<br \/>\nExternal: Regulatory Bodies, External Auditors<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
