BEM Motors is hiring an\u00a0experienced Auto Electrician\u00a0specializing in\u00a0Zhong tong, Scania, Scania, and Mercedes-Benz buses.
\nResponsibilities:
\n\u2022 Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
\n\u2022 Replacing or repairing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
\n\u2022 Checking vehicle electrical systems.
\n\u2022 Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
\n\u2022 Performing preventative maintenance on service buses \/ trucks.
\n\u2022 Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
\nTO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE:<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate.
\nDiploma in mechanical or automotive electrical engineering or equivalent.
\n\u00a0Minimum of 5-10 years\u2019 practical experience in a reputable organization.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge of diesel engine operations, repairs, and maintenance services\u00a0or Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair\/Automotive Electrical and Electronics.<\/p>\n
Fully accredited as a Registered Technician or Registered Technologist Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
\nProven ability to diagnose and repair faults in vehicles and\u00a0equipment
\nMust be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
\n\u00a0Good Time management and good organizational skills desired.
\n\u00a0Familiarity with diagnostic tools and their use.
\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
\nStrong problem solving and decision making skills with great t attention to detail
\nAble to interpret schematics mechanical blue prints and technical manuals
\nAbility to work in a\u00a0team environment and independently<\/p>\n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
Carry out routine maintenance on all electrical components on motor vehicles and plant equipment to ensure fleet reliability and availability.
\nCarry out repairs of all defective electrical components on vehicles, which involve diagnosis, dismantling, replacement or reconditioning of defective parts, assembling and testing of completed vehicles to ensure that they are in good condition.
\nUndertake repair and maintenance of electrical components of diesel generators to ensure optimum performance
\n\u00a0Recover vehicles, which break down outside the Workshop.<\/p>\n
