\nPurpose
\nThe Specialist, Training, Haul Trucks will be responsible for conducting comprehensive training for KMP employees and designated contractors on Hauling operations in accordance to the KMP Standard Operating Procedures.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nThe holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.<\/p>\n
Planning for daily activities according to the training plan & schedule.
\nConducting training in line with the Operator Training process or path.
\nConducting assessments in line with the assessment procedure.
\nInstill a high awareness of safety in all aspects of training.
\nEnsure that the focus of training is principally on safety.
\nMaintaining a pro-active approach to all aspects of operational and behavioral safety and encourage teamwork within the department in line with KMP company values.
\nProactively confront others about safety
\nComplete all documentation to a high standard and submitted timeously.
\nMonitor the training hours completed by each trainee to ensure adherence to the training path.
\nAdministrate and record learning progress accurately and timeously.
\nCoaching & Mentoring Learners.
\nEnsure that all training is in line with the company\u2019s approved procedures.
\nLiaising directly with the supervisors to minimize negative impact on production.
\nEnsure that all documents are signed off by relevant personnel
\nConduct infield observation and refresher training on operators so as to enhance skills
\nEnsuring the learners identified skills gaps are closed
\nDemonstrate high levels of knowledge in WENCO systems operations
\nTo competently use learning management systems (INX)
\nReport all lapses to your supervisor during training
\nAny other duties as may be reasonably requested of you, in line with effective operations of the Training Department.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum of a Grade 12 School Certificate
\nValid driving licence would be an added advantage
\nDiploma or certificate in Teaching methodology
\nBasic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
\nValid first aid certificate
\nBlasting licence is an added advantage
\nDegree or Diploma\u00a0 in Mining-related field would be an added advantage<\/p>\n
Experience
\n\u00b7A minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry.
\n\u00b7A minimum of 5 years experience operating haul trucks in a very busy mine environment
