2.\u00a0Purpose of the Job\u00a0
\nWorkforce management tools
\nTo procure contracts for works and consulting services on behalf of the Authority in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, Procurement
\nRegulations, Guidelines and Procedures prescribed by the Zambia Public Procurement Authority.
\n3.\u00a0\u00a0Statements of Main Accountabilities\u00a0
\n3.1 Prepares solicitation documents for works and consulting services including determinations and findings, synopsis, justifications which reflect\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 procedures governing procurement;
\n3.2 Prepares procurement plans for the purchase of works and consultancy;
\n3.3 Follows and enforces ZICTA\u2019s procurement policies and procedures;
\n3.4 Reviews, compares and analyzes approves works and consultancy to be purchased;
\n3.5 Maintains and updates supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.;
\n3.6 Maintains good supplier relations and negotiating contracts;
\n3.7 Researches and evaluates prospective suppliers;
\n3.8 Prepares budgets, cost analyses, and reports;
\n3.9 Assists with the selection of bidders which involves public bid openings, preliminary bid evaluation, brand comparisons and final award of bids;
\n3.10 Supervises Procurement Assistant engaged in rendering support service to the procurement team.<\/p>\n

\n5.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Relevant Pre-Job Experience:<\/p>\n
The job requires above 3 to 5 years of experience. At this stage the jobholder should have basic understanding of the role and can perform fundamental tasks or activities relating\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0to the job under some supervision.<\/p>\n
