{"id":5793,"date":"2025-10-15T08:00:21","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T08:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/mechanical-fitters-vacancy-x-5-at-trade-zone-limited\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T00:14:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T00:14:11","slug":"mechanical-fitters-vacancy-x-5-at-trade-zone-limited","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=5793","title":{"rendered":"Mechanical Fitters Vacancy x 5 at Trade Zone Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Trade Zone Limited is currently looking to hire experienced Mechanical Fitters to be based in Lusaka.<br \/>\nDuties &amp; Responsibilities<br \/>\nMaintenance Fitters fit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies made from metal and other materials to make production<\/p>\n<p>Machinery and other equipment.<br \/>\nMaintaining &amp; repairing machines<br \/>\nMark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments<br \/>\nAssemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together<br \/>\nheck tightness of joints and operation of moving parts, and file or chisel parts to make final adjustments if the fit is not perfect<br \/>\nCut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines<br \/>\nClean and lubricate assembled articles<br \/>\nManufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment<br \/>\nOperate powered machines which may be manually or computer controlled<br \/>\nErect machinery and equipment on site<br \/>\nInspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs needed, by removing any worn or damaged parts to<br \/>\ninstall replacements, by sending a damaged part to the machine shop for repair or by doing the repair work themselves<\/p>\n<p>Requirements and skills<\/p>\n<p>Full grade 12 certificate.<br \/>\nDegree\/Diploma\/Craft Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or its equivalent<br \/>\n3 years and above working experience<br \/>\nGood Communication and interpersonal skills<br \/>\nCritical Thinker and ability to make decisions<br \/>\nHigh professional ethics and proficiency<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
