\nThe\u00a0Key Purpose\u00a0of this role is to provide specialized mechanical artisan skill and knowledge to the shift team, support the operation and maintenance of the Packaging Hall, and perform and assist in problem solving to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

\nKey Roles & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Provide support to shift-based teams during operations.
\nAttend packaging daily meetings and ensure that previous day\u2019s actions have been completed.
\nAssist shift-based teams with situational problem solving.
\nCoach shift-based teams on machine operation, machine fault finding, and correct responses to machine failure modes.
\nCarry out work during planned maintenance windows in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the planner.
\nProvide feedback to the maintenance planner where scheduled work cannot be completed, for rescheduling or prioritization.
\nAssist fellow team members in the execution of tasks during planned maintenance windows.
\nLocate plant, equipment, spares, and relevant documentation and\/or systems.
\nPlan and prepare jobs, carry out repairs and maintenance, and operate packaging equipment.
\nPartake in cleaning, lubrication, and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
\nPerform routine maintenance activities and resolve problems uncovered during maintenance using appropriate problem-solving techniques.
\nMaintain and repair plant and associated devices.
\nCommunicate effectively in teams and contribute to self and team development.
\nCarry out running repairs on plant and equipment.
\nAssess problems during repairs and determine appropriate actions.
\nCommunicate uncompleted running repairs to the team leader and maintenance planner for planning into the next maintenance window.
\nApply correct problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues and assist or coach operators on situational problem solving.
\nComply with safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation.
\nMaintain safety and housekeeping standards and identify unsafe practices through standard inspection operations and safety audits.
\nEnsure safe maintenance practices are followed and audited.
\nAdhere to PPE policies and ensure maintenance tools are in good working order.<\/p>\n

\nMinimum Requirements:

\nEducation<\/p>\n
Diploma\/Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
\nFor internal candidates: Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Production Management, Automotive Mechanics, or Craft Certificate in Mechanical will be ideal.<\/p>\n

\nExperience<\/p>\n
1\u20132 years\u2019 experience as a Mechanical Artisan, preferably in a similar industry (FMCG) or on Packaging PET lines.
\nFor internal candidates: 1\u20132 years\u2019 experience as an Operator will be ideal.<\/p>\n
