Our goal is to empower clients through accessible financing, deliver exceptional service, and contribute to Zambia\u2019s economic growth.<br \/>\nAs part of our expansion in the Copperbelt region, we\u2019re looking for an energetic and strategic Business Development Officer to help drive Dorset\u2019s growth and build strong client relationships in Kitwe.<br \/>\nRole Overview<br \/>\nThe Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting Dorset\u2019s branch growth strategy. This role combines sales, market development, and client engagement, ideal for someone with a strong understanding of financial products and a passion for helping clients succeed.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Develop and execute business development strategies to grow Dorset\u2019s secured lending portfolio.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Identify and pursue opportunities with individuals, SMEs, and community partners.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and local business networks.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support branch marketing initiatives and client acquisition campaigns.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Prepare client proposals and follow up on leads to conversion.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ensure all client interactions align with Dorset\u2019s service standards and compliance requirements.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Contribute to Dorset\u2019s visibility in the Copperbelt through community and business engagement.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0At least 3 years\u2019 experience in business development, lending, or financial services (SME lending preferred).<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong understanding of secured lending and credit processes.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proven track record of meeting sales or business growth targets.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of the Kitwe and Copperbelt market is a distinct advantage.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.<br \/>\nWhat We Offer<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Competitive basic salary with performance-based incentives.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Opportunity to be part of a growing, innovative financial institution.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Supportive and collaborative work environment.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
