The TRALARD II Project will be implemented over a 5-year period from January, 2026 to December, 2030 and will cover 32 districts; four (4) on the Copperbelt, five (5) in Luapula, eight (8) in Muchinga, five (5) in Northern and ten (10) in Southern provinces of Zambia. The TRALARD II Project is designed to combat landscape degradation, build community resilience to climate shocks such as droughts and floods, and advance Zambia\u2019s 2030 goal of becoming a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusive economy.<br \/>\nThe TRALARD II Project will support the implementation of a jurisdictional Emissions Reduction Programme (ERP) in Muchinga Province to act as an umbrella program that will leverage resources from TRALARD II and other relevant initiatives to attract emission reductions payments from carbon markets to generate additional financing that can be re-invested in the landscape to improve rural livelihood. This is based on successful experience of Zambia Integrated Forest Landscape Project (P161490) and Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Program \u2013 Emissions Reduction Project (P155827).<br \/>\nThe Ministry seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to submit their expression of interest \/ application for the following two (2) years renewable employment contract:<br \/>\nDRIVER CUM MESSENGERS X 2(Location: Choma)<br \/>\nJOB PURPOSE:The Driver Cum Messengers will report to the Provincial Project Operations Officer, and will be responsible for delivering mail and driving members of staff, visiting officials and consultants within and occasional trips to project implementation areas.<br \/>\nMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY\u2022 Transporting staff, visiting officials, and consultants within and occasional trips into project areas as and when required;\u2022 Observing safety regulations and road rules whiles on a trip;\u2022 Delivering messages, materials and documents to Government offices, cooperating Partners, other stakeholders and project offices as and when required by the office;\u2022 Keeping motor vehicles properly maintained and in a running condition at all times;\u2022 Ensuring safe keeping of the motor vehicle during office hours and kept only where it is safeguarded;\u2022 Performing minor repairs tasks and arrange for major repairs as and when necessary; and\u2022 Undertake any other task as assigned by the Provincial Project Operation Officers.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE\u2022 Zambian National;\u2022 Grade Twelve (12) Certificate;\u2022 A certificate in Auto Mechanics;\u2022 A Diploma in Auto Mechanics or any other relevant qualifications is an added advantage;\u2022 Valid driving license and at least 10 years of working experience as driver with clean driving record;\u2022 Previous experience in a donor funded programme will be an added advantage;\u2022 Practical knowledge of the Highway code; and\u2022 Good knowledge of written and spoken English.<br \/>\nThe attention of interested candidates is drawn from Section III, paragraph 3.14 to 3.17 of the World Bank\u2019s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers; February, 2025 (herein referred to as World Bank Regulations) which sets forth the World Bank\u2019s policy of conflict of interest.<br \/>\nThe Project Implementation Support Personnel will be selected in accordance with the \u201cGovernment\u2019s Personnel Hiring Procedure\u201d Method as set out in the World Bank\u2019s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers; February, 2025.<br \/>\nFurther information can be obtained from the address below during office hours (08:00 hours to 13:00 hours and 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours local \/ Zambian time), and\u00a0NOTE\u00a0that: Detailed Terms of References (ToRs) \/ Job Description for all advertised positions are available and can be accessed from the following website:\u00a0https:\/\/www.mgee.gov.zm<br \/>\nThe Permanent SecretaryAttn: The Director \u2013 Human Resource and AdministrationMinistry of Green Economy and EnvironmentCorner of John Mbita and Nationalist Road,Ridgeway,P.O.
