The Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara is committed to exceptional and personalized service delivery.<br \/>\nJob Description<br \/>\nBricklayer \/ Tiler Responsibilities:Job search platform<br \/>\nInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and project requirements<br \/>\nMeasure, mark, and arrange bricks, tiles, or blocks according to design specifications<br \/>\nMix, spread, and level mortar or cement on work surfaces<br \/>\nLay and align bricks, tiles, or blocks in various patterns, ensuring proper spacing and leveling<br \/>\nCut or trim bricks, tiles, or blocks to fit around obstacles or into tight spaces using power saws or hand tools<br \/>\nApply and smooth grout between tiles, bricks, or blocks<br \/>\nInstall waterproofing or vapor barriers as needed<br \/>\nRepair and maintain existing brickwork or tiled surfaces<br \/>\nEnsure proper curing of mortar, cement, and grout<br \/>\nClean and polish newly installed tile surfaces<br \/>\nEstimate material requirements and costs for projects<br \/>\nCoordinate with other construction professionals (e.g., plumbers, electricians) to ensure proper installation around fixtures and outlets<br \/>\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines<br \/>\nProperly use, maintain, and store tools and equipment<br \/>\nStay updated on new materials, techniques, and industry standards<br \/>\nTrain and mentor apprentices or less experienced team members<br \/>\nCommunicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members about project progress and any issues<br \/>\nPerform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards<br \/>\nPrepare surfaces for installation, including cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or sealants<br \/>\nAssist in the creation of decorative or custom designs using various materials and techniques<br \/>\nProperly dispose of waste materials and recycle when possible<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and project details<br \/>\nTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process<br \/>\nParticipate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities<br \/>\nQualifications<br \/>\nBricklayer \/ Tiler Qualifications:<br \/>\nRequired:<br \/>\nHigh school diploma or equivalent<br \/>\nCompletion of a recognized apprenticeship program in bricklaying or tiling<br \/>\nMinimum of 2 years of experience as a bricklayer or tiler<br \/>\nProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations<br \/>\nExcellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity<br \/>\nAbility to work at heights and in various weather conditions<br \/>\nValid driver\u2019s license and reliable transportation<br \/>\nPreferred:<br \/>\nCraft certificate in construction technology or related field<br \/>\nAdditional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., stone masonry, restoration)<br \/>\nExperience with both residential and commercial projects<br \/>\nProficiency in using digital tools for measurements and estimations<br \/>\nKnowledge of green building practices and sustainable materials<br \/>\nBilingual skills (English\/Spanish) to communicate with diverse workforce<br \/>\nSkills and Abilities:<br \/>\nStrong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills<br \/>\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team<br \/>\nGood problem-solving and decision-making skills<br \/>\nEffective communication skills, both verbal and written<br \/>\nTime management and organizational skills<br \/>\nAdaptability to changing project requirements and schedules<br \/>\nPhysical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)<br \/>\nCommitment to ongoing professional development and learning new techniques<br \/>\nTools and Technology:<br \/>\nProficiency in using various hand and power tools specific to bricklaying and tiling<br \/>\nFamiliarity with mixing and application equipment for mortar, grout, and adhesives<br \/>\nBasic computer skills for communication and record-keeping purposes<br \/>\nAdditional Requirements:<br \/>\nFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, or irregular hours as project demands<br \/>\nWillingness to travel to different job sites within the local area<br \/>\nAdditional Information<br \/>\nFull grade twelve school certificate<br \/>\nThree traceable referees with mobile numbers and emails<br \/>\nClosing date: 30th October 2025<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
